My 12 year old site suddenly has all of its landing pages deindexed?
Hello I was able to find your site and took a look at it. Indeed some pages are not indexed. It seems like it's because they are very similar in content. Your Location pages don't offer much unique value besides just changing the city name and some of the content a little bit. I'm sure Google is looking at it as low quality content, that duplicates the same purpose. If you want to index and rank separate city pages they need to be super unique and specifically add value for the user in each location. The content feels spun (created programmatically) even though it might be manually created, there is still a lot of just copy/pasting etc. Think about what it would take to have a 100% unique page, with unique content for each location (testimonials, photos, information, maps, service info etc). If they are not the city pages that you're referring to, please link to an example so I (and others) can take a closer look! Hope this helps!

Oh crap.... Just got de-indexed
It depends. If it was deindexed for many days its possible that rankings will not be exactly the same. If the time off is not that much it will probably return with no harm. All this taking in consideration that the redirects, https and all that stuff is correctly done.

"spammy structred data" search console message
Hi Meier, Did Robert van Heerde's answer help you resolve your issue? If so, please mark it as a "Good Answer." If you are still having issues, though, we'd love to get an update about that, too, so we can try to get you resolve this. Christy

Engagement - but high bounce rate?
Thank you for that suggestion. I believe the more keywords you rank for and the more traffic you get to your site, the higher your authority will be, and the easier it will be to rank for the KW's you want.

How to write blogs around a page you want to rank
I don't use social. If you make content like what is described above, the visitors to your website will share it on social for you. It is easy to describe what is above, but difficult to pull it off. If you want to see examples of this type of content just visit the Moz.com blog. It takes this type of content to be published there. Again, these links are valuable.... https://moz.com/blog/why-good-unique-content-needs-to-die-whiteboard-friday https://moz.com/blog/how-to-create-10x-content-whiteboard-friday

How to check what your DA used to be?
Hi Meier, This is possible. You can see your DA and the history on https://analytics.moz.com/links/competitive-metrics/4215297.961982?metric=domain_authority#domain_authority The number here represents my own membership so for you this would be different. An easy way to get there is go to your dashboard and click on Domain Authority. P.S It will only show the history since the date you joined Moz. Good luck! Tymen

Snap Pack & Yelp/Angie's list Page authority
You're welcome, Meier. So sorry, but I'd not be able to make a guess as to how your competitor acquired links. You might want to consider consulting privately with a good SEO consultant about that, to whom you can show the exact situation in confidence. While we're on the topic of Yelp, if you're looking for some pro tips, I really enjoyed this video. You might watch it and jot down notes: http://localu.org/blog/guest-video-top-10-yelp-tips-small-business-2016/

Review page set up
Hi Meier, Hmm, I'm not aware of a plugin that auto-generates links to all your review profiles. Maybe someone else in our community knows of one? However, just for fun and inspiration, check out this page: http://barbaraoliverandco.com/reviews-testimonials/ If that were my client, I'd put the asks higher up on the page, but this is Mike Blumenthal's client so I won't second guess him Also, be sure you are reading the review guidelines of each platform you're planning to showcase before you move ahead.

Yoast local landing...posts?
Hi there, What I can get from your question is whether to use blog posts or pages. Strictly there is no difference. In my opinion I'd stay with the option that suits you the best. The SEO optimization can be as good for blog posts or pages. Best luck. GR.

Sub-directories or Nah
Hi Meier! Very good feedback from the community, and scenario you are describing is why most Local SEOs would recommend the approach of a single domain with landing pages on it for each of the 7 locations. This way, every single thing that you do to build up the brand simultaneously benefits all the locations, instead of this requiring 7 separate efforts every time you want to make a marketing decision.

How do I give a proper back-link?
Hello, As long as the content is well written and the site is related to his site, a simple link to his homepage will be fine. You don't need to worry about anchor text or anything like that if the content uses specific keywords. Search engines will draw connections between the content and the link. It is best to have some internal linking on your posts and static pages, don't over do it. Also, mix up your internal links, point to specific category pages, or items. If this article is primarily focused on this other person's site, don't worry about internal linking. Passing Juice through Multiple Locations
Hi Meier, I so urge you to take EGOL's advice as gold - he is legendary in his knowledge. The scenario you are describing with the PBN is not something that sounds safe or natural to either of us - so, this is your Moz squad talking here It might help you to put yourself in a user's shoes. Does it actually benefit you, if you're looking for key grinding or to get let into your locked car to be thinking about pressure washing at that moment? No. There is no natural relationship there. Do you want to go, via a link, from a pressure washing site to a locksmith site or vice versa? No. There is simply no relationship there. I also want to raise the issue here that the locksmith industry is one of the most notorious for its history of spam problems in the localsphere. Anything you do for clients in this industry is going to be in an atmosphere of heightened scrutiny (particularly at Google) and so a profile of unrelated, unnatural links would be just the sort of thing they'd be looking for to bring down the hammer. So, please exercise caution here!

So the page-grader is giving my site an A, but it is ranking below some websites that the grader gives an F to. What is the point of the page grader?
Even Moz's grader doesn't take all factors into account, but the biggest issue you are likely missing are links, could be external or internal or both. Make sure you have a few different keyword variations linking to the page, check the backlink profiles of a few of the top pages to make sure but I bet they have some anchor text links coming in that you are likely missing, giving them more relevance in the eyes of google.
