No, it shouldn't if you made sure that all the pages that you had before and that you have know will be redirected to the new pages that currently exist. In this case Google will make sure that the URLs are on the new location and if that's because of the redirects it shouldn't really hurt you. But there are a lot of things that can go wrong when setting up redirects, definitely if there are multiple.

RE: Using roman numbers in Page title
I agree what is answered above, I doubt that the keywords people will search for include both numbers so then it would be up to you to decide what you're gonna focus on.

RE: How do I disallow a subdirectory in my reports?
Hi Dan,
I would suggest adding this to your robots.txt file within your root, within the next crawl of Roger this shouldn't be in your reports anymore.
User-agent: rogerbot Disallow: /localmarket*

Pretty simple answer, yeps!

RE: Choosing a title tag in seo (H1 or H2 or H3)
Hi,
H1 should be the most important title on your page. What you most times see is that you're using H2 and H3 for listings or other headings on the rest of the page.

RE: Ctr question with home page and product pages
It's probably correct, but in the long term you probably still want to make sure the product term is ranking. Although in the end it's all about the bottom line just to make sure you're getting more conversions.

RE: Determine CTR opportunity [Organic & Paid]
Hi Rohan,
Some more details would be nice indeed, but if I'm right you're looking for ways to achieve an increase in CTR for both your organic and paid results. What we sometimes do is analyse what our average CTR is for a certain position and then cross reference that data with other keywords that perform lower to find out what we can do there to get a better CTR for them. By changing either the title, to make it more click worthy or the META description.
Hopefully this already gave you some ideas.

RE: How can i extract back link report in OSE of HTTPS domain?
Hi Sophie,
For now Open Site Explorer is not supporting HTTPS, however in this post within their help section. They suggest that the addition of HTTPS domains will be somewhere around March this year. With March already halfway if you're lucky it will be deployed within the upcoming two weeks. But I wouldn't put my money on it ;-).
Hope this helps a bit!

RE: Lost social share count after migrating blog
Hi Russel,
Michael King of iAcquire wrote a great blog post about keeping your social sharing counts after a sites migration. I would recommend reading his article, here on Search Engine Watch. While it will probably be hard if you're not a developer to integrate this within the WP plugin you're using for this.
Hope this helps!

RE: Rich Snippet Not Appearing? Why?
Hi Mark,
Google scaled down on the number of sites they're showing structured data for. When did you adjust this on the page and is the page already cached by Google in the meantime?

RE: Destination SERP Feature?
Hi,
It's not really a SERP destination feature, it's basically an extension on the knowledge data that Google has. If you Google for example: seo software you'll likely get a similar setup with a carrousel with the top software for SEO. It's incredibly hard to get as it seems to be information that Google is saving themselves and not directly getting from another site.

RE: Has the keyword planner search volume metric gone crazy?
I think the biggest difference is in the match type of the keywords. In the end they're used broad in this case which would make sense that the singular and plural could be the same. Usually when you would have an exact match you're going to see a difference in volume.

RE: Change the labels' name
You can't, the best way to do this is to select all the keywords for the specific label, just delete the label and re add a new one with the new name. For now within Pro Tools there's no other option than this.

RE: Social data for links
Hi Chris,
Have you tried SocialCrawlytics? It will crawl your site and checks the nr of shares/ likes/ tweets for all the pages found on the domain. Very helpful!

RE: Duplicate content on events site
Hi,
I would use a canonical tag and point to the first page of the event to make sure you don't get into any issues with duplicate content. I think it has some value for a user to have all the 16 pages online but for Google it's pretty useless to leave them out there and also notify them that they all exist. Using a canonical will 'merge' them a bit into one.

RE: SEO experiments
Hi,
You probably want to start reading this: https://moz.com/blog/seo-split-testing-a-b-test-changes-google, it's a great post by Will Critchlow explaining what you should be thinking about if you really want to set up valid SEO experiments. I would always advise to run your SEO and UX experiments separately. You analyze them different, you bucket in a different way and the changes that you make for SEO don't always have to influence UX.
Hopefully this will get you going. Let me know if you have more questions.

RE: Number of searches for specific keywords
Hi James,
This data is provided by Google itself via their Google Adwords Keyword Tool which could be found over here. You'll have to enter a keyword and choose the right location and language. When you search for the keywords you entered Google will give you the monthly local and global volumes for keywords.
Hopefully this answer your question?

RE: Setting a campaign in SEOmoz
If you enter your campaign domain as: www.domain-name.com only the subdomain www. is used to gather campaign details. If you enter domain-name.com all subdomains and of course your root domain will be used to gather details.
So to answer your question: if you enter domain-name.com it will also run on www.
Hope this helps!

RE: Favorite to many tweets: a violation?
At least in their API their seems to be no limit to favorite a certain number of tweets. Also I've never heard anybody argue that they couldn't favorite anymore tweets.

RE: Why am I not seeing sitelinks for this website?
From what I see when I Google your brand name I get a lot of universal results (images, Yelp, Crunchbase). So that mostly shows that you're still missing a bit of authority for your own site. If you get some more authority based links it's relatively easily to get the sitelinks on for brand related terms.
