The reason that I suggested 50 tips per paint guy was to give every participate a unique set of tips that would survive any duplicate content problems. Any real paint guy should be able to come up easily with 50 tips.

Use canonical tags in all your pages, you are telling the SE that it is your content you have a good chance that search engines will give you the original content credit if they pick yours up first, and if somone steals your content, there is a good change they will take your canonical tag with it pointing back to your site

Thanks for adding your comment. I'm curious, is this for the research chemicals site in your profile, or a different site? For the research chemicals it looks like you're targeting "buy (brand name ED medicine)", which has a bit of a different competition landscape than many peoples' sites.

Hi, I was not aware that you were talking about articles for article marketing. However, in this case you should also try to write different content with different headings, in order to avoid duplicate content and to make for a more interesting read. Before you submit them to article directories, I would still pause to think whether it makes more sense to have them on your site and try to build links to the article.

You should look at the overall root domain links and not be too concerned over links solely coming from just a single site.  300 unique root domain links is by far a lot better than 300 links from dex regardless of its authority or pagerank. High rank on any keyword is achievable depending on your commitment level and budget. Competing pages with 400 pages (mostly from the same sites) is not too competitive but at the same time you need to put in the effort in your side anlog with adequate link building budget. Just focus on 3 basic principles. getting links that are more relevant than those linking to competiton. Links that carry more authority, trust and high backlink count Focus on obtaining higher number of root domain links than your competion.
