How to find out that none of the images on my site violates copyrights? Is there any tool that can do this without having to check manually image by image?
Keep in mind that infringers post images on their website without any references to licenses. They stole the images, why would they point to a license ? !! Many of the "free image sources" on the web contain a significant number of infringing images. Furthermore, many of the websites that sell or license images are offering images that they have no right to offer. I have found my own images on such sites and have done something about it. On many of the free image websites and some of the websites selling images the images are uploaded by "members". The owners of these sites simply claim "safe harbor" when infringing images are found on their sites. They simply blame the member and take the images down when someone complains. I am not an attorney, but I can say that I would not use your proposed method because a lot of the images that you think are OK are not OK. Furthermore, the images to which I hold copyright do not have licensing information posted with them because they are not available for license by anyone at any price. They are for my exclusive use. People who are serious about protecting their images from infringement will probably do at least two of the following if they see their images on your website.... DMCA to search engines, DMCA to hosting services, complaint to Adsense, complaint to other revenue sources, send informal notice to you, demand payment for your past use, add your website to the list that their legal team will look into. It might be a good idea to make an appointment with an intellectual property attorney and discuss the concepts of copyrights, permissions, licenses, documentation, fair use, safe harbor and how copyright laws vary outside of your home country. I have had these types of meetings with more than one attorney and found that it is not as expensive as you might fear. After that meeting you have a person who knows you and can be a quick source of assistance if needed. Time and money well spent.

What is best practice for "Sorting" URLs to prevent indexing and for best link juice ?
With canonicals, I would not worry about the incoming pages. If the new content is useful and relevant, plus linked to internally, they should do fine in terms of indexation. Use the canonical for now, and once you launch the new pages, well a month after launch, if there are key pages not getting indexed, then you can reassess. The canonical is the right thing to do in this case. As for link equity, you are right, that is a simplistic view of it. It is actually much more intricate than that, but that's a good basic understanding. However, the canonical is not going to hurt your internal link equity. Those links to the different sorting are navigational in nature and the structure will be repeated throughout the site. Google's algo is good at determining internal, editorial links versus those that are navigational in nature. The navigational links don't impact the strength nearly as much as an editorial link. My personal belief is that you are worrying about something that isn't going to make an impact on your organic traffic. Ensure the correct canonicals are in place and launch the new content. If that new content has the same issue with sorting, use canonicals there as well and let Google figure it out. "They" have gotten pretty good at identifying what to keep and what not. If you don't want the sorting pages in there at all, you'll need to do one of the following: Noindex, disallow in robots.txt - Rhea Drysdale showed me a few years back that you can do a disallow and noindex in robots. If you do both, Google gets the command to not only noindex the URLs, but also cannot crawl the content. Noindex, nofollow using meta robots - This would stop all link equity flow from these pages. If you want to attempt to stop flow to these pages, you'll need to nofollow any links to them. The pages can still be crawled however. Noindex, follow - Same as above but internal link equity would still flow. Again, if you want to attempt to cut off link equity to these sorting pages, any links to them would need to be nofollowed. Disallow in robots - This would stop them from crawling the content, but the URLs could technically still be indexed. Personally, I believe trying to manage link equity using nofollow is a waste of time. You more than likely have other things that could be making larger impacts. The choice is yours however and I always recommend testing anything to see if it makes an impact.

72KB CSS code directly in the page header (not in external CSS file). Done for faster "above the fold" loading. Any problem with this?
thanks Kristen. Good article. We will try to identify now what kind of CSS is absolutely necessary to put inline. I think the google apache module should help us to idntify this.

Huge httaccess with old 301 redirects. Is it safe to delete all redirects with no traffic in last 2 months?
Aleyda, this is super useful , thanks a lot for this excellent advice. I will still need to do some research on how to best compile a comprehensive list of incoming links, as moz and search console data is still kind of limited for this purpose.

Capitalization of first letter of each word in meta description. Catches more attention, but may this lead to google ignoring the meta description then more frequently?
Yes, I would like to see some study data on CTR success/failure of Capital First Letter Of Every Word vs. not. Or legibility study for fast reading comprehension. I see this as more important for ad copy than meta data, since ad copy is much more limited in characters and visual real estate.

Do I need to use a trailing slash to homepage in canonical and hreflang?
Hi there, Your intention is that https://www.mysite.com be the principal page. So you've done everything just fine. Even more, you've said that have used consistenly the https://www.mysite.com, that's fine in my opinion. Hope it helps. GR

Is it likely that google uses bookmarks(favorites) in chrome as a ranking signal?
Not at all. Bookmarks are no indication of the quality of the content or a website as a whole. If there were any truth to this, it'd be ridiculously easy to game the system - think of a large company with thousands of computers in their offices, they could have their IT team pre-install Chrome with any number of bookmarked links they want - way too easy.

Anybody experience with speeding up loading time for visitors from China mainland?
Hi Joe, thanks. I had the same thoughts and already talked to them. It is only offered to enterprise clients of cloudflare and requires an ICP number which in turn requires a company located in China.

How to interlink 16 different language versions of site?
Gianluca. that is excellent news. Just curious since this is quite an important issue for us. Do you speak from own experience with a similar case? I did not find anywhere other references that contextual links should be fine. Do you remember anybody who wrote about it in the past? Just noticed that tripadvisor actually removed now all their contextual links to alternative language versions that they used to have in their footer. Instead they now implemented a flag drodpown where contextual links are not showing up anymore in the sourcecode.

Best way to automize generation of google ads - API, scripts etc.
Alick & IssueTrack are right on point regarding ad copy. The reason no one has automated ad copy or adwords management yet (to complete non-human interaction automation) is because it generates zero results. If you're looking to be very hands off with the account, you should set your expectations now that it's not going to do what you want it to do. I think what you're primarily seeking are the Google Product Listing Ads. After your one time setup you shouldn't have to edit them again, but they need to be managed on an ongoing basis by a human with the knowledge of how to make them profitable and generate the volume you need. Each time you update your product feed in the Google Merchant account, it will be translated into your ads - but that doesn't mean your bids have decreased with trending amounts of merch on hand. And when you add new products, your ads won't auto-populate. I would recommend github for finding a developer if you still want to continue on with this course of action. I haven't tried it, but I think that an API would be better than a script for what you think you want to accomplish.
