Google Indexing
Hi
We have roughly 8500 pages in our website. Google had indexed almost 6000 of them, but now suddenly I see that the pages indexed has gone to 45.
Any possible explanations why this might be happening and what can be done for it.
Thanks,
Priyam

Language redirction causing 302 issues
Hi,
I am getting an error on Moz campaign for 302 errors. The reason we have this redirection is because we have the website available in different languages and the website redirects to the language according to the area you are in.
e.g. www.keyhub.com/en or www.keyhub.com/es
I am guessing it might be a common issue for all the websites with multiple languages. Any solutions for this or should we just ignore this error?
Thanks,
Priyam

Why to add a product id in the url
Hello !
shop.com/en/2628-buy-key-origin-the-sims-4-seasons/
Why will people use a product id in the link? Is there any advantage like better ranking or else?

Is a short URL path stronger than a long one for an eshop?
Hello Moz Fans !
I'm building an eshop website and reviewing a few competitors website I found something interesting on which I don't have the full answer.
Will it be better for me to organize the products in sub folder or in the root folder (option 1 or option 2)
_Competitor link _shop.com/en/2628-buy-key-origin-the-sims-4-seasons/
Option 1 - Normal organization
_+ _We can add relevant KW in /products/
- product url will be one folder deep more
-
home/
-
home/category/ (category page)
-
home/category/subcategory1
-
home/category/subcategory2
-
home/products (this page does not exist really)
-
home/products/product1
-
home/products/product2
Option 2 - less folders
_+ _We can add all KW in the link directly
- it may be less organize for Google
-
home/
-
home/category/ (category page)
-
home/category/subcategory1
-
home/category/subcategory2
-
home/product1 (all product in the direct folders)
-
home/product2

RE: How to avoid getting penalized for having same website in 2 languages
Hi Kate,
Thanks for your answer. I think there is no one answer for this question. Yes, we are targetting countries, but as long as the language of any country is English we would not start a new website. Then, we are a price comparison website so our website content is majorly the products. Any website that we might start we will always have 90% of the content same. We could change a bit of written content maybe, but not more than that.
Does that give you more clarification?
Thanks,

How to avoid getting penalized for having same website in 2 languages
Hi,
I have a price comparison website in English with .com domain. Now as we are expanding, we want to localize our website and target different markets in their local languages. The first market we are targetting is France. For that purpose we have
-
a different domain name in French
-
.fr domain
The website however, will have the exact same content & mostly translated in French. My question is what is the best way to avoid getting penalized by Google for having duplicate content?
Thanks,
-
