The Mozscape index currently updates about once a month. It can take 1-2 updates for your links to show up. We don't have as deep as an index as Google, so we may not see all of the links. Do also verify your site in Google Webmaster Tools and check there for your links.

RE: Backlinks through dofollow commenting
Are you saying 10-20 comments on each blog each week? That's going to look quite unnatural.
What if the blogs decide to nofollow their comments? Would you still be happy to have your comments there? Is there a purpose to your commenting besides the hope of passing page rank?

RE: How to determine a web site is a high quality guest blogging web site?
I honestly wouldn't go for any of them. If I were going to post on a site other than my own site, I'd look for something in my field where there would be visitors that are actually interested in my niche. Do it for the readers, not for the search engines.
Would you go to one of the above sites on your own if you were not guest posting there? If one of the above sites got hit in an algorithm update, or chose to nofollow their links, would you still want the post there?

I'm locking this question and disabling further replies. If the original poster would like more feedback, it's best to create a new question at this point.

RE: Open Site Explorer Not Providing Data
Hi Scott,
Have you checked your spam folder? I'm looking at the help desk, and do see that we answered you on May 14th.

RE: A Safe Place for Link Building
Just a quick note that Thomas's answer was made before the question was edited and changed. The response was not to asking for talking about link building, but to a different question. For readers who don't know this, his response looks a bit off and harsh.

RE: Craigslist key word spamming/flagging?
I haven't used it for those purposes, but Craigslist would also want to know about that type of spam. If you're going to complain about a TOS violation, it's best that you not also violate their TOS.
Give them as much information as possible -- search queries that show the ads from the same person, how you identify it as the same person/entity, and make sure the queries don't have any false positives.

RE: Craigslist key word spamming/flagging?
Have you tried contacting abuse@craigslist.org? That's where to report things like this.
Flagging software and services would be a violation of their TOS as well (see Use at http://www.craigslist.org/about/terms.of.use).

RE: Link Building On a Budget
I've never hired a link builder and don't have direct experience in this. I can just say get as educated as possible before hiring anyone.

RE: Pages with Title Element is Too Short (Chinese)
My personal opinion is not to worry about it, but I'll ask around here for a second opinion from someone with a little more experience in this space.

RE: Are backlinks the most important factor in SEO?
We have some good background information about search engines and SEO in general at http://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo that can help you with the bigger picture, too.

RE: How to know if a website is worth putting a link on?
If you sat down for lunch with someone from a search engine and they looked at the link, would you be comfortable or squirming?

RE: Pages with Title Element is Too Short (Chinese)
Can you list the title? We sometimes have problems with non-latin character sets. Right now, we don't have enough info to give you a solid answer. Thanks!
If you would prefer not to list those details in a public forum, you can create a help ticket at https://moz.com/help/contact and we'll take a look at it there.

RE: My website is not indexing
No notices from Google in Google Webmaster Tools? Do check there to see if there is any information.
As a consumer, this site raises several red flags for me. The site is just over a month old, there is no indication to the user of a way to contact the site by phone or mail (though privacy policy indicates this can be done), the WHOIS shows a registration based in China, and the images are stock images (despite text saying that it is actual inventory). These same factors may also raise concern with anyone doing a manual review of your site. The links to this site are also few and suspicious.
It could be that this is a very spammy space and Google has cracked down on sites that have little original content and have signals that they may not be totally legitimate.

RE: Branded email notifications
I wanted to add a couple of comments from personal experience from a previous job I had. There are various levels of white labeling, and it can be a bit tricky to get it so that it either shows that it's coming from your domain, or from a domain that's not associated with Moz (and using a private registration for WHOIS in case the client looks at the full headers to see where things are coming from, looks that up, etc.).
I'll let Nicci respond when she has a response back from the development team, but I would like to second making sure that you've put this in our feature request forum at the URL that she gave. That's the place where we gather feature requests, see comments from other users on the request, and use it to help prioritize the features. That's the best place to be squeaky!

RE: What is error message:social_account.no_method?
This should be working now. Could you give it another try?
Thanks!

RE: What is error message:social_account.no_method?
It's an error that just popped up, and it's our fault, not yours. We're investigating what happened and will let you know when there's a fix.

RE: Is there any decent web browser that still displays the full page title at the top of the page?
In the new version of Firefox, I believe you can go to View, Toolbars, and select title. I did that for the whole two hours or so I kept 29, before downloading 28 and reinstalling.

RE: Link Building On a Budget
I get a ton of emails every day from people overseas, and even some domestic, offering me SEO services. I ask them to optimize our About Us page, and include a screenshot of http://www.strikemodels.com/about-us/ with
If you contact us with offers to help with the website design or optimization, you will receive a screenshot of this very statement. If we’re in a bad mood, you’re likely to get the spelling and grammar in your proposal picked apart, and glaring errors in your website pointed out (for the 10% of you that aren’t using a disposable gmail address).
highlighted in red. I either hear nothing, or will often get a response that they would be happy to help optimize that page, not even having looked at the image.
I wouldn't trust them, personally, without extensive vetting...and that time and effort would probably be better spent on you yourself making the connections that can lead to links.

RE: Link Building On a Budget
That's similar to "how long is a piece of string". If your keywords are sex, drugs, and lawsuit, it's going to be way higher than if you're looking for waterproof sail winch servos, georgetown gallery antique mahogany furniture, and lompoc high school yearbook.
