Right now, the way that we value facebook fans for different clients is by looking at our analytics and conversions. How many facebook users are referred to our website from our page, how many of those make a purchase? It really depends on your business, but right now I am seeing that retailers with a facebook page gain more conversions from their facebook page; specially when they post coupon codes just for their facebook followers.

RE: How would you determine the value of a Facebook fan? Not just a Facebook referral, but an actual fan of your business or website. Is there a set of best metrics or a particular model that you suggest?

RE: Citations have dissapeared from places listing
Google has changed the guidelines for this many times. From what I understand, you need to have one listing for the company (for example, if it is a hospital or an attorneys office... or in your case a real state office). Then, you need to have individual listings for each person in that office (doctor so and so.... attorney so and so... realtor so and so). Hopefully each of you have individual numbers or extensions; or Google may try to merge the listings. I have done this before for a dental office and all worked out fine for each individual dentist as I followed the guidelines.

RE: Blog for SEO: embedded in the site or separate
Weikelbob,
Personally, I would do the following for e-commerce sites: Create a blog using a popular platform (which gives the client ease of being able to add their own client), where you are capable of changing the background to match the websites look and feel (this all depends on the client and how they want their blog to look). Once you create the blog and it's design is as requested by the client, link it to the website by adding a blog button to the header, footer or main navigation (you do want people to find your blog and to add comments and for them to share it with their friends). The blog should have a domain of the site followed by the name of the blog or just blog: "http://domain.com/name-of-blog" or "http://domain.com/blog".
Also, if you have a facebook page, you can add the blogs feed into that page (there are apps for it).
Hope this helps!

RE: Google Places - Under Review
Kevin,
I would delete both of the listings and create a brand new account; a listing "under review" can be under review for several months.
Whenever you are working with a company that has more than one physical location you should make sure that all locations have their own address and phone number; no listings should ever share those two things.
If there are older companies that are using the companies name with a phone number and address that you cannot get a hold of, then report the location as closed through the map section; this is about as much as you can do if you have no access to the old companies number or address.
Hope this helps!

RE: What can I offer a blog, in order for me to guest blog on their site?
First, take a look at the blog that you are looking to be a guest writer for. You should look for their style and of course, look at what they are writing about. Once you have done this, go ahead and create content that is relevant to what they write about; if it is a fashion blog, write about the latest trends and add images (again, look at what they have and copy the same style; you can give them something that copies their style and another option that is more your style). Email them and send them your work. If there is a number to call, I would call them first and then email them. Hope this helps!

RE: Google Places not appearing
Austin,
Google will delete listings and "sandbox" you if you break their Google places rules and regulations. From looking at your listing, I can only pin-point a couple of things that Google may not like. First, in you categories you have "Palm Harbor Weight Loss" - you should not have a city of state in any of your categories. Also, make sure that you only have one category per category slot. Make sure that your images are the right size, usually under 120 width will work. On your website, I would add the name of the company (Medi-Weightloss Clinics) just as it reads on Google Maps on top of your address on the top right in locations. I would embed the Google Map into the locations page. I also would add more categories, you currently only have three. Hope this helps.
