Can someone explain a few hopefully simple questions for me please
You have a few link juice leaks though unessasary 301 redirects, every 301 leaks link juice so if you dont need then youy should avoid. take this redirect The link to "http://www.keystonemortgages.co.uk/blog" has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://www.keystonemortgages.co.uk/blog/". you have added a "/" using a 301, but why not link directly to the final url in the first place and stop the leak. here is another The link to "http://www.keystonemortgages.co.uk/images/blacktriangle.gif" has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://www.keystonemortgages.co.uk/images/BlackTriangle.gif". you see the diff in capitalization, you need to link directly to the final url again. if i was you i would 301 all urls to lowercase, the it is easy to remember how to write them when making links, others will also generaly link to you using lowere case You have 78 cases like this. You also have a few missing descriptions and some non-relevent link text, "more" , never waste link text, get a keyword in there. email me i will send you a list of the errors i spoted.

Trying to use the SEOmoz link building tools but...
Jason, actually I prefer softball questions Value depends on what you need and want. With Yahoo directory if you look at $299 and then look at what can be obtained at that cost for other directories or submissions it might not be. But, if you have a single site that you want to promote, are in need of quality level of Yahoo, etc. it might be a good spend. In the U.S., for clients who have multiple sites in services or professions as opposed to an eCommerce site, it is not as good a value for sure. Can you find a couple of high quality submission sites, spend that same amount and possibly get two to three times the value? I think it is possible. Really hope that helps.

OpenSiteExplorer is not seeing all my inbound links
Thumbs up to Anthony - definitely good advice. In addition, though, I'd think of OSE and Linkscape as a good representative sample. The metrics and side-by-side with other sites/pages are a really good way to compare, but yeah - it can't catch every link on the web. We suspect Google keeps between 100-150 billion pages in their main index and our last index update was 51 billion URLs, so there's obviously a lot of the deep, dark corners missing. Another thing you might check, though, is Blogscape - http://www.seomoz.org/labs/blogscape - which shows our fresh web crawl and can be used to monitor new links/mentions we've seen. These URLs are starting to go into every Linkscape index soon, so we'll have all that data in the larger index with all the metrics, etc. in the next few updates.
