Hosting Plans that offer multiple servers in different locations?
Have a look at this https://www.incapsula.com/load-balancing/global-server-load-balancing-gslb.html Also look into cloudflare I believe what you are really looking for is a GLOBAL CDN (Content Delivery Network) provider. This is separate from hosting. Some hosts might offer it inclusive or as add-ons, it will often be resold by another major global CDN player such as cloudflare. Hope this helps!

Website rankings drop significantly after moving to new hosting provider
Now that I check rankings for isacleanse.co.nz (without the www.) the keywords are all ranking in the same spot they used to be... so what I can gather there is no issue but instead my 'rank tracker' for keywords within MOZ was updating the rankings for a www. when the rankings have now moved to the non www. site? Does that make sense? I've now reinstated back the www. before the domain name as I prefer it this way. I will still make those changes that you've mentioned above! Much appreciated

YOAST Premium extensions vs Yoast SEO Free?
Yes, their useful plugins (cost a lot) but I think they are well made & unlike some other plug-ins, there updated very often. However what I recommend their video plug-in not really unless you had a very particular need. There Local and Woocommerce plugin's are excellent for what it does the news plug-in is significant buying the bundle may save you money, and I would recommend it if you have looked at everything and decided that's what you need. sorry about the delay let me know if that helps, Tom

Good vs Bad Web directories
Hi Logan - just had a proper look at all those domains and seems most of them are for US based businesses. Would you have a reference for anything on a global scale?

Advice on upgrading from Joomla V1.5.17 to latest
I have worked a lot with Joomla 1.5, you will need to upgrade 1.5 to I think 1.7 first then you should be able to go to 3. But, upgrading from 1.5 is going to be an absolute nightmare - do not waste your time. I HIGHLY recommend just transferring everything over to Wordpress, try find a template from themeforest which is similar to your site, it will save you so much trouble.

How to manually create sitemap with 301 redirrctions?
Hi Sandi, I thought Screaming Frog would follow 301 rules and exclude them from the sitemap. To be sure I just ran the domain and it appears to be true. With the free Screaming Frog you can configure things like ignore canonical pages, noindex pages, paginated urls, and PDF's. It also allows you to set the change frequency and priority. Screaming Frog found 428 url's and the sitemap has about 100'ish urls. Which is still in the range of easily being manually reviewed. Here is a link to the sitemap I generated for your site: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5yObTBvN3iVWFJZczJWTUlZU0U/view?usp=sharing Here is a link to Screaming Frog official site: http://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/ When doing SEO it always best to have a full toolbox! I hope this helps, Don

Is a particular page not ranking for any reason?
Hi there I would suggest marking up every product you have. I would focus efforts onsite via Schema - I would imagine your product pages are set up on a template, so if you add the code into the template, it should automatically add markup to all of the products. I would take to your web dev team about that though. The reason I would focus on Schema - having Schema markup can potentially increase your rankings and improve your click through rates via enhanced snippets; not to mention, this markup is recognized by more than just Google, so you are marking up for multiple search engines, not just Google like you would be if you do it through just WMT. I would also suggest looking into a secure protocol for your site (https) as that is a ranking factor and you are an ecommerce website. It's important to let search engines know that you are protecting information from customers and value their privacy. It's thought by some that having a privacy policy page (among others) is considered a good trust signal to search engines - but either way, it's comforting for a user looking to make a purchase. Don't forget to do some competitor research to get an idea of opportunities others are taking advantage of. Lastly, be sure to avoid common ecommerce SEO mistakes - here's a great resource on those. And be sure to check your Pagespeed Insights - the site seems to be loading slow for me. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Using Google structured Data for SEO benefit
Hello Sandi, That was just one example. I came across several others in which there were multiple versions of the same page with self-referencing rel canonical tags. I would fix that as soon as possible by removing and redirecting one of the versions or choosing a single canonical. I think a directory called /buy-isagenix/ is a little bit spammy, but not so much that I would worry about doing a bunch of redirects at this point. You can probably just leave it as-is. Make sure you have 100% uniquely written content on all of your pages, including the product pages, to avoid these situations: http://tinyurl.com/povmkr9 . Hopefully fixing the duplicate content problems from the non-canonical URLs and the manufacturer-supplied copy will help your rankings a bit.

Copy/pasting the article from another website and referencing correctly not to get penalized
rel=canonical is a good alternative to noindex. Both will prevent the article on your site from going into the index of Google or other search engines who honor rel=canonical. From what I have seen, noindex works quicker. The advantage of rel=canonical is that much of the link value of the article with the rel=canonical will be transferred to the specified source article. I have used it on content that I own and have published on two domains. The copy that receives the benefit of rel=canonical ranks better than expected.

Redirect domain or keep separate domains in each country?
Hi again If you want to focus more on the Australian site and the NZ site isn't where you want to place efforts, then you can redirect it - but I would URL map it properly so that pages on the NZ site find their corresponding pages on the AUS site. But that is ultimately up to you to decide - if the return is not there and you want to focus on one site, then redirect and make sure all pages find their new home. I would also update relevant citations and back links. I would personally optimize both and put efforts in if you think potential is there - it's just a better user experience - especially for different regions, local search, and audiences. Hope this helps!

Hi Sandi. If you put these keywords into a Moz Analytics campaign they will display a full history as well as a change column from current and previous. Cheers!

Best URL structure for SEO for Malaysian/Singapore site on .com.au domain
Google has stated they are better now at relating subdomain content to the TLD domain, but you're probably still better off using a subfolder. If you do go with a subdomain, make sure to link them in your GA code for better reporting. There are so many languages spoken in Malaysia that this domain issue is really not going to help visitors on your site. If you're going for consistency, you'd need subfolders or subdomains for all supported languages. If you're only using English, then I wouldn't even consider this change. Simply use www.domainname.com.au/malaysia/ to host content relevant to this market until you can get your TLD. This would send the strongest signal to both search engines and site visitors that your content is targeted for Malaysia.

Improving ranking for a more specific keyword - eg 1 word
Algorithm updates last year made exact keyword matching a thing of the past - I have clients for whom I do content marketing as a means of link-building and my advice is always to produce content which makes sense when you read it. If it sounds like a keyword is being forced into a sentence, chances are it will be reviewed negatively. Link-building is one of those nose-to-the-grindstone jobs that requires dedication, focus and the ability to take a bit of criticism. It also requires a lot of outreach and pounding the pavement with authority sources in your market niche. I like content marketing because it covers most of the bases you want to cover without you sounding too "sales-y". For example, instead of focusing on on-site factors such as your keyword targeting and URL (on-site only involves about 30% of ranking weight), perhaps spend some time creating unique content relevant to your market niche that you think potential customers would be interested in reading/watching. Then take that content and market it to authorities in your market - you might have to spend some time developing relationships since webmasters are bombarded with link requests on a regular basis. It will take some patience and time, but the overall affects are worth it. http://moz.com/blog/category/link-building This link has a ton of resources on up-to-date link building practices that will help you get out on the right track. http://moz.com/blog/local-event-marketing http://moz.com/blog/future-of-link-building http://moz.com/blog/anchor-text-rich-links-without-spam-or-manipulation-whiteboard-friday These 3 in particular might be of interest to you.
