If I have a

<noscript>tag on every page of my website with the same sentence over and over saying something to the effect of "Sorry our site uses Javascript, please enable javascript for the full site experience.", Webmaster Tools will tell me that one of the most common words on my site is "Javascript".</p> <p>Is this something to be concerned about from an SEO perspective? My site is obviously not about Javascript and I don't want to dilute my page's topic or authority by repeating words that are not relevant to the topic of my site.</p> <p>Thanks!</p></noscript>

I think it's always a good idea to check your search terms report regularly! You should do it and add in exact match terms that are highly relevant and also block out things your broad match term is bringing in that are not relevant with negative keywords.

I had one client that even though their brand name was unique for their industry, it was being used in other, non related industries. They were in building services but their brand name set to broad match was bringing in traffic for backpacks, car modifications, all sorts of not relevant stuff. Don't pay for that stuff! Block it out with negative keywords.

This is just a wild guess, but it sounds like this is a pagination issue. There are many tactics for dealing with pagination issues from an SEO perspective. One that I have seen is when you get a series of results, all the pages in the series are canonicalized  back to the first page of the series. So /blah.results?param1=blue&page=2 would have a canonical tag for page 1. Page 3, 4, 5, etc. would all have canonical tags back to page one of the series. You should also include rel=prev and rel=next tags on the pages.

Or, you can look at how Moz.com deals with it in their blog. When they have a series of pages the pages after the first in the series are blocked from indexing using the robots tag: http://moz.com/blog/category/white-hat-black-hat?page=2 (view source on this page and look for robots tag)

We have a keyword that we show up in the #1 position for organically. However that number one position is a Maps blended search result and we are the first listing with link, address and phone number. This is a high volume keyword but we receive little traffic from it. Looking in Web Master Tools this is corroborated in showing that for this keyword our average position is 1.7, high volume of impressions but click through rate is 0.04%!

Is it possible that people scroll past the first result when it is a Maps blended search result to go to the first "true" organic listing? Has anyone else seen this? Is there anything a website owner can do in this situation to increase CTR for your listing?
