Analyzing Google AdWords Ad Extensions Data
Hey, good questions. 1. Yes, that $372.37 is part of the total campaign's spend of $1,935.86 2. Phone call conversions only count if the call is 60 seconds long or done through a mobile phone for a click-to-call. Other conversions you're seeing simply indicate the phone number being displayed on the regular text ad in which the user clicks the ad and converts, in cases multiple times. 3. Same as the phone extensions, the social can be attributed to the association — OR — it can indicate someone +1'ing your company straight from the ad. Dig into the segmented extension data to break out what is what. 4. For dynamic, just make sure everything is logically set up and laid out. Dynamic campaign, dynamic extensions, dynamic ads. Just be ready for different data and possible skewing,

AdWords Sitelinks Disapproved
Hi Darin, What you said does make sense. With the information you provided to me, I think I can figure out how to get approved sitelinks. 1. If I have an ad linking to URL A, then do not have the sitelink go to URL A as well. 2. If I have a sitelink going to URL A in AdGroup 1, then do not have a sitelink going to URL A in AdGroup 2.

Changing a subdomain to a full domain to rank for a keyword
Instabill, Broadshout gives you the best answer in my opinion - use a subdirectory format. Note: If your site is large and has a lot of sub directories it could be problematic. If your blog is broken into categories and you then have blog/category/post/ you do not want them to have to go any deeper. So, make sure the to get to Blog, it is at most a one step process from the home page. You said: " Will changing the domain really be that helpful (i.e. will the change get our blog on page one for the term instabill)... Well the answer is... It is likely, but will depend on all the other factors as well. It will improve your ability to rank for that term better than what you have, all other things being equal. Good luck. Robert

How Can I Increase Conversions from English Speaking Countries in AdWords?
Thank you, Branden, for your advice. Telling me specifically what I need to do is exactly what I wanted to hear. My company used to work with a PPC agency, but they were horrible in every way possible. That is when I decided to manage the Adwords in house. I am the senior copywriter for my company (I studied professional writing in school), but the AdWords work sort of fell into my lap. With a new copywriting assistant, I have more time to focus on Adwords. I just never knew where to begin after the basic framework of launching a simple campaign. I have metrics that show me what ads work well for my specific industry, but I do not yet know how to use keywords differently, such as negative keywords and exact phrases. Your information will most definitely be coming in handy over the coming weeks and months. I am truly grateful to the both of you who responded. Regards, Meghan

What Cities from Around the World are Popular Hubs for E-Commerce Businesses?
While continuing my research after publishing this question, I saw several articles that stated Delhi is a hub for e-commerce. I saw that article before publishing my question as well, which is why I asked if people knew of any others since Delhi was the only location I could find as a result from searching the Internet. What I ended up doing was searching a list of the largest cities in the world and targeted those cities that were within my target countries.

How Can I Target Certain Countries in Google AdWords without Excluding Other Countries?
Just my 2 cents, but if you're not going to tune the ad text by location, this is precisely why Google has spent so much time creating these new enhanced campaigns. As the campaign runs, you can still see geographic-based reporting if your campaign targets different countries. But instead of creating different campaigns, you'd set bid adjustments for different locations to adjust the CPCs by region. This makes the reporting marginally harder (you can still see this data in the dimensions tab), but if you're not going to take advantage of ad text by region, I think this is easier. Mainly because when you make changes to these campaigns (add/remove ad groups, keywords, ad text), you're going to have to remember to duplicate these changes across all the campaigns you've spawned. Also, when you want to start adding demographic and remarketing lists to your search campaigns (coming soon - currently in beta), you'll have to set that up and manage those bid adjustments for each of these campaigns as well.
