Questionable backlinks...
I agree the strategy is ill-conceived. Either it was executed by an incompetent company, or one that is into "churn and burn" tactics. By the time Google catches on, it will have moved on to the next client.

Google still showing sitelinks from old website
Once you do the 301's, the sitelinks will resolve to your site even if nothing else changes. Most likely, over a small amount of time, the sitelinks will change a bit given the new site. Best to you, Manny, Robert

Your tips on giveaways/competitions.
Just thought I would mention a few things I have tried in the past. Same competition and prizes Firstly - I sent out an email version of a newsletter with the competition. I had 1 response to the competition. Secondly - I send out the same newsletter to 300 people in hard copy - I received 50 entries. Thirdly - I put the competition on Facebook. Received an overwhelming response - most by referral from other people entering. I end pulling it off Facebook as it was attracting people from outside my target market. These competitions are listed quickly on competition websites. So in answer to your question - if your target market is stay at home mums then facebook is a great tool. What exactly is your objective for the competition. Is it a) To promote your brand to your existing client base b) Gain new potential clients. c) Grow the number of facebook likes your business has. Depending on your objective will depend on your strategy. If you are in a specialized technical industry ask for 50 words on a particular item / industry vision. This will weed out a lot. Those it doesn't you can usually pick up if they do / do not know what they are talking about. Maybe you could post the competition on Linkedin - at least then you have a better fit for your target market.

Weird url backslashing action...
Hi guys, it looks like our developers have figured it out... I don't know how it happened but for some reason it was doing it on this url: http://www.segafredo.com.au/Disclaimer/ Our site is run on Umbraco (ASP) but the shopping part is a custom plugin for SAP which doesn't play nice with friendly urls. Somehow they solved that issue but created an other one... duplicate content :S Ciao, Immanuel.

Avoid Multiple Page Title Elements...
No, doesn't mean single word, simply means just one set of tags per page. The crawl is presumably finding pages with more than one h1 level title on the page.

SEO friendly url strategy...
Hey Segafredo, Don't you think these URL's are a little bit long? There must be a better way to organise your URL structure. www.domain.com/shop/coffee/beans/brand for example. You could leave out the second 'coffe-beans' and the 500gr could be an attribute of that product. This way it won't be in the URL. It would make your URL's easier to remember. Makes it look less 'spammy' and just look a lot cleaner. You would still rank for 'coffee', 'beans' and 'coffee beans'. Your name is Segafredo so if you are really from the major company Segafredo then the short URL's would be a lot better. A big brand like that would get visitors and links by itself and messy URL's would do your reputation no good. Hope i was of assistence. If you have any other questions let me know
