What are best practices for managing multiple clients with Foursquare?
Great question! It's generally considered best practice for agencies to have one Foursquare user account (profile) per brand/client that they are managing listings for. Since clients leave agencies all of the time, it is likely easiest to simply create a Foursquare user profile (using a new gmail, for example), then oAuth and claim the locations with it through the app. That way, if a client leaves, you can easily turn over the email account that is managing those listings to the brand. This avoids the hassle of having to go through the steps of reassigning and/or relinquishing management of those Foursquare listings.

Sitemap url's not being indexed
Anders, Thanks for the reply. I definitely agree a self referring canonical might just be a good extra addition on these product pages, so I'm definitely adding that to our list of to do's if it does not improve. In terms of indexing pages - We have not restricted crawl frequency, we have it set to "allow google to determine the optimal crawl rate". No other warnings found within the search console either. Thanks for your help.

Spam pages / content created due to hack. 404 cleanup.
You want those old spam pages to have a 410 code - gone (permanently). I'm not 100% sure how you will achieve this though... I'd speak to your hosting company and/or web developer. 404 code means the page is 'not found' which isn't the same as 410, which tells the search engines that the page has gone forever, so they won't keep looking for it. Hope this helps! Amelia

How do I create multiple page URLs that are optimized for location and keywords that may be overlapping or the same?
Greenstone, How do your customers differentiate between stores? Use whatever language they use. So for example, you could name the pages sunshine-rd-ice-cream or a rte-13-ice-cream. That's how I'd do it. I'd also customize title and description tags, and include a keyword-named photo of each shop (with corresponding alt tags) and an embedded map showing it's location. That's another way to ensure the content of each page is unique b/c that will need to be the case. You could talk about the most popular flavors per location, or the busiest times (in case site visitors are trying to avoid crowds or alternatively, seeking them out). D
