Sitemap indexing problem
Sitemaps from xml-sitemaps are completely reliable. Google does not index all pages of your site and it also doesn't show the exact amount of indexed pages, that way the prevent users from using shady tactics to fool the system. In my case, with about 4K pages submitted to Google via sitemap, about 3.5K are indexed (that's what it says in WT) but when performing a site:example.com search it shows about 5k results. So as you can see, those numbers that Google show are not exact, those are just estimates. If you submit 200 pages via the sitemap and google indexes only 10, then there's a problem. As per your traffic change, you should look on another possible reasons, ans it could also take some time to reindex all your pages.

Clone TLD Problems
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I decided to stick to geekwik.com only and will dump geekwik.in. The pricing will continue to remain in USD. Only in checkout page will put an Indian Payment gateway option which will collect payments in INR (After applying exchange rate factor) and paypal gateway would be there as it is now. Invoicing would still be in USD but there would be option to pay by INR which I wanted. I guess this solves the duplicate content issue to quite an extent. What do you think.

Monthly SEO contract or dedicated employee?
Well in today realm of SEO - you are really hiring a strategist that obtains high quality backlinks instead of low quality links in mass. You can definitely hire a company that is reputable to work on your website and provide some great value. I don't think it would be wise to hand it off to someone who has no SEO experience and is just doing a checklist everyday. Just my thoughts though.

Avoiding duplication in TLDs
Hi Alankar, yours is the classic case when the implementation of the annotation rel="alternate" hreflang="x-X" is strongly suggested. It serves the purpose of saying to Google what URL to show to the users depending on the language and/or location they performing the search from. In your case, for instance for the home pages of your sites, it should be implemented so: <rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="http://www.geekwik.com"></rel="alternate"> <rel="alternate hreflang="en-IN" href="http://www.geekwik.in"></rel="alternate> I suggest you to check out these official resources about this topic: What's Hreflang?
