Should we create content for a competitor?
Average video plays on their site are 15,000-20,000 That's all???? In that case... I would place the video on my own site and build out a youtube channel. I'd let them make their own videos.

Drop in number of pages in Bing index
You're good! Even more pages indexed in Bing. Google: 2,190 results Bing: 3,390 results If you haven't already, signup for Bing Webmaster Tools and verify your site. Bing has some really good tools on there and it's a must for an SEO now just like Google Webmaster Tools insight is. That will show you index status and other issues more accurately. Good luck http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster

RSS aggregators
_Nope they are not. These links are easy links and therefore, will not have any impact on the rankings whatsoever. And as Alan has rightly said, these RSS Feed may increase the likelihood of duplicate content. _

Strange SERP listings - meta description not appearing
Going back and changing 1,000 pages probably isn't reasonable, but you can keep this in mind when moving forward and creating new content. Front-load your recipe description and steps 1 and 2 of the recipe so important information comes in the first 60 characters. Best of luck!

Mozscape API call returning no json
Looks like AoV and I posted at the same time. AoV is exactly right. We're both pretty much saying the same thing. Add a Cols parameter and you should be good to go. Good luck!

Robots.txt issue - site resubmission needed?
Hi Greg - I've done this and resubmitted the sitemap, but I'm now getting severe health warnings saying that robots.txt is blocking important pages. I've run our robots.txt file through the tester in Webmaster tools and it is saying allowed, however I'm obviously concerned about the warnings. Have you experience of anything like this? Thanks Rory

Do links behind paywalls pass value?
Greg A paywall is referring to content that is hidden behind a paid/membership system / member's only access. So if it's restricted to the bots, there's no SEO value. It's like if you click on particular sections of SEOMoz, which are members only, they are not really open to the bots, in which case, there's no real direct traffic from Google hitting that page, so no SEO optimization needed. (Although there's a way to provide bots access to data behind your paywall and then it "could" be indexed. The question then becomes, would you want it indexed ?)

Good article distribution services?
Article sites don't have much value these days, I would suggest maybe repositioning the content for guest post spots. You can always use http://myblogguest.com/ for guest blogging opportunities.

What's the best canonicalization method?
Also worth remembering that if your content eventually changes on the new page, the old canonicalization tag will no longer apply as it will now be pointing to different content.
