Lots of Domains Going Nowhere - Point to a Real Domain?
Just simply redirecting them to your site will not carry seo benefit. You should vrite great content for them, market themindividually: eran links, do social etc and place conversion points that point to your site. The point is exact match domains is that it is easier to rank them in google for the exact term, but that means writing content, doing marketing: just like with any other site. If you can see from the attached article there are pros and contras. I would always think twice to create another domain. In first place I would always want to make new content for my primary site. I don't know your budget but I think dealing with microsites are for those with big budgets.

Does it affect SEO of how quickly you get in-bound links?
I agree with you Asim. An example I recall was where an existing site for a mining company gained a lot of links and attention after a mining accident. Search engines can identify when there is major news on a topic and an increase in related links.

Why does SEOMoz Pro only do Rankings Once a Week?
To keep the price down at $99. Devoting resources to bi-weekly ranking reports wouldn't be the best use of them, I imagine. The same resources could be used to analyse better data more often. You could also ask - why only 50 credits for the keyword difficulty tool? They're just delivering what they feel is the optimal balance of features for the $99 you pay.

Inbound Links from Web Pages Based in Other Countries
If you have relevant links from other countries they would help your rank but with the recent Panda updates from Google, if they are spammy sites, webfarms or paid links they will hurt your rankings. We participate on blogs and provide articles internationally that are on topic which help boost our rank, we even send products to reviewers overseas for evaluation.

Hiring a Company for Link Building
I think that the first question that anyone who wants to hire a linkbuilder should do is ask himself is... "Do I have any content on my site that is worth linking to?" If the answer to that question is "no" or "maybe" then you will need to find a linkbuilder who is either a freeking magician or a linkbuilder who will only get you links from spammy sites. From dignan99: I personally do not trust the links done by the vast majority of services that offer link building. I agree. If I needed a linkbuilder, I would hire someone to sit in my office and do it. Then I could control the process and know that when they found good links that they would not be duplicated for my competitor's sites. That's how you start an arms race! If you have received some of the link requests that I get you would know that ignorant linkbuilders will make a fool out of you in front of other people in your industry. Worse... turn an idiot lose and tell him to drop comments on forums and blogs with your name on them. That can really damage the image of your business in the right places. Getting to your question... I would ask where they are going to look for these links and I would want to see periodic reports of where the links are located so I can will know when to fire the linkbuilder for stinking up my domain by posting crap on other websites.
