In css there are classes and id's. Classes have a period, so it would look something like this in your css file - .nav { } ID's have a # sign so it would look like this - #homelink { } You can also string these different elements together to target a specific element, but your question the code within your html file should look something like the code below. That id will trigger the css element have listed. Replace 'www.link-to-your-page.com' with your link. Your Link Name

It is definitely a ranking criteria BUT if you do your homework right by focussing on other ranking factors, you do not need to consider it. To make it perfect: if you can, always use the right ccTLD. Concentrate on keyword domains, with the right ccTLD but if you can`t use keyword domains despite their CC Take a look at the actual list of ranking factors here

For any people later coming in, in this thread. I got in touch with the site owner, it turned out that the GA tracking code was missing on the thank-you page.

Hi Alex, Yes, we don't want to include the traffic coming from our office and we want to exclude the visit or other metrics once an employee visits our site. If only we can use a static IP then this will be solved easily, but that's not possible for now. Great read from SEER. Thanks a lot!

Hi It's always difficult to give styleguides to developers if you're not one yourself... As ProfessorBlak mentioned, this stylguide is not always optimal. Personally, I think trying to achieve W3C Validity is a better standard. But even here, it's not always possible, so might have to cut your developers some slack... As a guideline, I think this stylguide makes sense. Developers should at least be able to give a good explanation if they do not produce code that validates and/or does not follow the styleguide.

Have you checked out Google's Analytic's training, they have video about how to do this.  You should be able to access it from your analytic's account. Agreed. I too use a T as a button, similar to yours by the sounds of it! I've been wary of using it though because of their policy. However, we've been going with the T button for about 2+ years and we get 250K unique monthly visitors... I would have thought someone would have given us a slap on the wrist by now if it wasn't allowed, right? I'm sure it's fine... Matt
