I just want to ask if it is possible to use a customized Google+ icon. I am confused after I have read this "For buttons that may be rendered by the Publisher, such as the Sharing Link, the Publisher must use only the official Google-provided icon or a plain text and link combination.

Do you know a plagiarism or duplicate checker tool where I can receive an email alert if someone copies my content? I know there's a tool like this (similar to http://www.tynt.com/ though people can still remove the link from the original source) but I forgot the name or site. It's like a source code that you must insert in each of your webpage.

I don't have a view-all page. Both suggestions are great but they have disadvantages, based on what I read in Google, and it would really depend on what's the purpose. And a big YES, that's what I am thinking since user experience is more important.

I just want to ask if it is necessary to implement pagination(rel=next, rel=prev) to my category pages because Google webmaster tools is telling me that these pages are having similar meta title and meta description. Ex.

page1: http://www.site.com/iphone-resellers/1

meta title:Search for iphone resellers in US

page2:http://www.site.com/iphone-resellers/2

meta title:Search for iphone resellers in US

page3:http://www.site.com/iphone-resellers/3

meta title:Search for iphone resellers in US

Yes, done that.

These soft 404s produce 200 status code. We already improved our pages when someone finds a product that is not on our list. But then, these dynamic pages are still considered as soft 404s by Google webmaster tools.

Yeah, some of them produce soft 404 since there's no content at all but some dynamic pages that rank well show content.

The reason why we want to block those pages is because they produce soft 404 errors. What should we do? Thanks Andy.

Hi guys, I've already added the following syntax in robots.txt to prevent search engines in crawling dynamic pages produce by my website's search feature: Disallow: /search/. But soft 404s are still showing in Google Webmaster Tools. Do I need to wait(it's been almost a week since I've added the following syntax in my robots.txt)? Thanks, JC

I already added the following syntax to my website's robots.txt:

User-agent: *

Disallow: /search/

I have checked the dynamic pages or URLs produced by search box (ex.http://www.domain.com/search/jhjehfjehfefe) but they are still showing in Google.com and there's still 1000+ soft 404s in my Google webmaster tools account.

I got almost 1000+ soft 404s from GWT. All of the soft 404s produce 200 HTTP status code but the URLs are something like the following:

http://www.example.com/search/house-for-rent

(query used: house for rent)

http://www.example.com/search/-----------rent

(query used:-------rent)

There are no listings that match these queries and there is an advanced search that is visible in these pages.

Here are my questions:

1. Do I need to redirect each page to its appropriate landing page?

2. Do I need to add user sitemap or a list of URLs where they can search for other properties?

Any suggestions would help.
