"Please do not forget to set the correct geo-target for the new domain in Google webmaster tools account." - Did you mean to set in a new Google Webmaster Tools account?

RE: Do I need to disallow the dynamic pages in robots.txt?
These pages that produce soft 404 errors don't show products at all because these people search for our products that are not available.

Sure, if you want, we can discuss this through email. May I know your email?

RE: Event Tracking or Goal Tracking?
- Is there a new pageview when the user completes the form?
Yes, the person will be redirected to the thank you page once he/she completes an inquiry through our contact form.
- Have you validated the URL by looking at the pages viewed via the Content sub menu item in Analytics?
I don't know why it(/thank-you.html) is not showing.
What do you think is the problem?

RE: Event Tracking or Goal Tracking?
Hi Martijn,
Thanks for the suggestions. We've already setup a goal tracking in Google Analytics using a URL destination (a "/thank-you.html" page) but I don't know why it is not working on one of our 2 sites. I still can't see any conversion data from the traffic reports once I click the "goal set 1". What we want to track is how many inquiries we're getting (the no. of people who contacted us from a "contact form" in a product page) and see where they come from (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, Direct Traffic, Social Media sites, etc.). Let me know your thoughts.

Event Tracking or Goal Tracking?
Hi guys,
What do I need to implement if I want to track sign-ups (and where this successful transaction/goal came from) and email inquiries (from a contact form)? Event Tracking or Goal Tracking?
If you can share some of your guides or blogs/articles you found online, that would be great.
Thanks in advance!

RE: Is it a good idea if I use "Change of Address" tool in Google Webmaster Tools for a page-level redirection?
Thanks for the input Devanur! Appreciate it.
To give you more info about our plan, one of our country verticals or subdivision will become a different brand that will target a specific country. We will not remove/shutdown the old site. We're also thinking of getting a ccTLD domain for this new site and focus on the country we will target. We will redirect the legacy internal pages (category pages and product-specific pages) to appropriate pages under a new domain. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks in advance!

RE: What are the best solutions to exclude internal traffic or visits from the people in an office?
Hi Alex,
Yes, we don't want to include the traffic coming from our office and we want to exclude the visit or other metrics once an employee visits our site. If only we can use a static IP then this will be solved easily, but that's not possible for now. Great read from SEER.
Thanks a lot!

RE: What are the best solutions to exclude internal traffic or visits from the people in an office?
Hi Moosa,
Thanks for your suggestions. What if we're only using dynamic IP? are there other solutions I can use in Google Analytics besides from advanced segments (which requires a static IP as you've mentioned).
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the input guys. I appreciate it. It is not possible for our company to use static IP for now and that's the reason why I asked other solutions and options.

What are the best solutions to exclude internal traffic or visits from the people in an office?
Hi guys,
Other than excluding IPs in Google Analytics and Opt out in GA Chrome plugin, I would like to know your solutions to exclude internal traffic in Google Analytics.
I would also like to know your experience in using Opt-out in Google Analytics chrome plugin. Is it working well? Do you know the same plugin for Firefox? Is opt-out in GA chrome plugin a better solution than adding the following two lines in hour hosts file?
127.0.0.1 www.google-analytics.com
127.0.0.1 ssl.google-analytics.comThanks in advance!

Google HTML, CSS and javascript styleguides ?
Who's following the Google style guides especially in HTML, CSS and javascript? What are the benefits of following the style guides? I am thinking of sending the style guides to our web development team before we launch our new site but I think there might be some conflicts. I'm an SEO and not programmer or web developer and I'm sure there are some "rules" that these web dev guys should follow and break as well.
Thanks in advance!

Goal Tracking in Google Analytics
Hi guys,
I just want to ask if you have videos or blogs about setting up goal tracking using conversion page or a "thank you page" in Google Analytics. This will help me to get how many inquiries (from contact form) I am getting and for me to know where they came from using Google Analytics (countries, source/site they used, time on site, category page and landing page, etc.).
#2 question - In case I don't have a "thank you" page, is it possible for me to get these "goals"? Do I need to insert a code in each of the "send" button in my contact form?
Looking forward for a positive response from you guys.

Thanks,
JC

Thanks guys for your inputs. By the way, this issue is already resolved last year. Thanks again!
