You can cancel at any point before the end of the trial to avoid being charged. Cancellation always takes effect on the next renewal date so you'll retain access to the paid tools and data, even if you cancel on day 1.

We have a guide with a video on our Help Hub which will show you how to cancel.

Just a quick reminder that once your free trial expires your Moz Pro Campaigns will be archived and no new data will be collected. However, if you want to come back you can restore your Campaigns. We keep all your historical data for around 12 update cycles. For weekly updates, that'd be 12 weeks and 12 months for monthly updates. A couple notable exceptions would be for rankings and link histories, which we'll keep forever.

Hi - Great question,

Domain Authority is a score (on a 100-point scale) developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engines. It is made up of an aggregate of metrics (including general link profile, quality and quantity of links, and more) that each have an impact on this score. It can be difficult to directly influence your DA, but one way to move toward increasing it would be to improve your overall SEO. A good DA score really depends on your competitors within your specific niche.

A great place to start with that could be to focus on link building! You can learn more about link building here and get a more detailed explanation of Domain Authority through this resource.

In general, I'd recommend keeping in mind that all of these metrics are relative with respect to the other sites included in our index. The metrics will probably have some additional context when compared to sites similar to your own, including your competitors. Feel free to give those resources a once over to see if they help clarify some of your questions!

Great question! Keyword Difficulty takes into account the Page Authority (PA) and Domain Authority (DA) scores of the sites ranking on the first page of Google for the given query. We also modify intelligently for the projected click-through-rate of a given page. This puts more weight on higher-ranking, more visible pages and less on lower-ranking, less visible pages. The formula also accounts for newer pages on powerful domains that may have DA scores but have not yet been assigned PA values.

Unfortunately we do not support some custom Top Level Domains (TLD) such as .CHAT or .DATING - this would explain why there's no data for this site in our Index I'm afraid, it's just a limitation of our tool.

I know we plan to expand the list of TLDs we support and are in the process of doing so, but I'm not sure what kind of timeframe we can expect before all new TLDs will be supported. Experiencing a lower Domain Authority drop like this is really nothing to worry about and is due to the fact that on the 5th February we released our latest index. Over the last few months, our index size has been fluctuating in size, and we simply may not have index certain websites / pages which are linking to your site, hence the fact that your DA reduced slightly.

Since Moz focuses on quality of links over quantity, we are always focused on the most relevant links to display to our users. It's possible that Moz's index will leave out some of the lower-quality links. So, that might explain why you may see some discrepancies with what other tools may be showing.

As a result, some of these metrics, like Domain Authority, can experience some unexpected trends. In general, I'd recommend keeping in mind that all of these metrics are relative with respect to the other sites included in the index. So, the metrics will probably have some additional context when compared to sites similar to your own.

Unfortunately I am not an SEO consultant / Web Developer so I cannot offer specific advice, but I'm sure there are loads of members here who would love to help and have a lot more knowledge than I do! A few things I have picked up which may help are the following:

Try to determine when the drop started, did it drop when you submitted the XML sitemap or when the developer changed certain things? This could help point to the reason for the drop in indexing. There are a variety of reasons as to why Google may not choose to index pages, however some of the common ones are:

• Check your robots.txt to ensure those pages are still crawlable

• Check for duplicate content / was there any canonical changes?

• One of the tools you could use to help keep track of ranking fluctuations is mozcast (http://mozcast.com/). Was there turbulence in the Google algorithm when the indexed pages dropped significantly?

Generally, we recommend using a wide variety of backlink tools to get the most illustrative picture of how your site's backlink profile looks. OSE and Ahrefs index differently and have different purposes. Ahrefs is good for quantity while OSE is great for finding higher quality links. You could always try Ahrefs to compare and potentially give your client the peace of mind that the links are still there.

Domain Authority is our own proprietary metric that is closely correlated to Google rankings, so our customers often use OSE to research influential sites to build links. (E.g. which links to try and target)
