IS this local directory safe?
That isn't one I have come across before, but is powered by BT... "Smile Local is one of over 150 business directories managed by BT Customerstreet" It is something I would need to look at in more detail, but the links out are no-follow so in theory, shouldn't be a problem - quite ad-heavy pages with 3 all close to the top though. -Andy

Could pigeon have caused this
I'm sorry but I don't know if I can/should link out here. Let me see if Miriam or a Mozzer says it's OK to.

Ranking dropped off massively: 25 August
Hi Ed, Something similar just happened to a website I am managing. Did you ever figure out what happened to your website? I do not have a manual action email in my GWT inbox. I got hit September 13th and today is the 22rd and still no email. I am in Argentina land www.google.com.ar and all updates come later than in the USA. I am also thinking it is a server issue. Got this message from GWT when trying to verify the Google Analytics code. The connection to your server timed out. Thanks

How does campaign manager pick up search terms
Hi Ed, Thanks for letting us know about this issue. My initial impression of the situation is that this would be an excellent question to email to help@moz.com, because we can easily pass it off to our engineers if it looks like a bug and if the answer is specific to your account there are no privacy concerns. Hopefully this helps and if you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to ask. Have a wonderful day and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Article linking to my post kicks it from the search results.
I don't think that would be relevant since it's not a copy of the article and any way, it just references it. I also doubt that the huffington post does rel canonicals because that would lose them traffic.
