We keep adding blog posts almost every day, still not getting in the index for some reason. Discovered, yes. Crawled, yes. But not indexed, and no errors or anything.

I actually got a quality link 2 weeks ago, but the blog post the link was published in still isn't indexed by Google either. The rest of his site is, just not his newest article for some reason, and it's 2 weeks old now. Another mystery...

It's a review website, and only 3 of my 24 reviews are indexed. All are discovered, most even crawled, but only those three in the index. And when I updated them, the search listing in Google results was updated within a few days. So they came back, are aware of the changes, but just not adding the others to the index.

And there are no affiliate links on this site at all. No spam, no links to spam, and I've attached a blog with 500+ word well written articles (about 20 so far) and none of the blog posts are indexed either.

I've never seen anything like this. The content is good, but almost none of it is getting indexed for some reason, despite being discovered and crawled.

It's a new domain, no previous ownership, and no issues detected in search console for manual actions or security. There's no robots, noindex or any of that going on. They just won't index a bunch of the pages for some reason and it's very odd.

Hey all, have a really strange situation I've never encountered before. I launched a new website about 2 months ago. It took an awfully long time to get index, probably 3 weeks. When it did, only the homepage was indexed.

I completed the site, all it's pages, made and submitted a sitemap...all about a month ago. The coverage report shows that Google has discovered the URL's but not indexed them. Weirdly, 3 of the pages ARE indexed, but the rest are not.

So I have 42 URL's in the coverage report listed as "Excluded" and 39 say "Discovered- currently not indexed." When I inspect any of these URL's, it says "this page is not in the index, but not because of an error." They are listed as crawled - currently not indexed or discovered - currently not indexed.

But 3 of them are, and I updated those pages, and now those changes are reflected in Google's index. I have no idea how those 3 made it in while others didn't, or why the crawler came back and indexed the changes but continues to leave the others out.

Has anyone seen this before and know what to do?

So the non dub version of the URL points to www right now. Somehow, what they plan to do is take 25% of all visitors to our website and send them to www2 instead of www. I don't know how this works personally.

I guess with analytics, how do you even set that up? As a separate profile in Google Analytics? But the domain is the same, so can you do sub-domain specific? I need separate analytics for the new site to make sure conversions look good, and that's what I'm not sure how to set up.

My secondary concern is doing a noindex on the www2 subdomain. Is that the best way to keep this out of the index? Once testing is done we'll move the new site to www and redirect www2 to it as well. Any thoughts on that set up?

So it's not my decision but the IT department's. Our current site at www.ourdomain.com will remain while www2.ourdomain.com will be the new design receiving 25% of the traffic to our domain. So not three domains, just two different subdomains is all. I just want to make sure we have analytics on there in a way to be able to see that it's working/converting without getting www2 indexed if that makes more sense.

Hey all, so in the past when I make changes to a site, I make the changes, review the analytics in the wake of the changes, analyze and go from there. Little things here and there, no biggie.

With my new company, we're doing a full website redesign from scratch (Currently on Wordpress, moving to custom). They are asking me about analytics and reporting and I was hoping to get some insight here.

When the new site is ready, they are launching it at www2.ourdomain.com and sending 25% of traffic to ourdomain.com to that with the other 75% going to www.ourdomain.com (current site).

So two questions- how would you go about setting up analytics for that? And how do you ensure the www2 version doesn't get indexed but stay in Google's good graces? If you de-index your "home page" that 25% are seeing I can't imagine that's helpful for SEO.

Hopefully that makes sense! Trying to look at how to A/B test to ensure the new site is working and converting before pushing all traffic to it.

I have an opportunity to take over a massive domain name list (several thousand). If at all possible, I'd really love to not have to search each keyword individually in the tool and map out the priority score for each.

Is there just a way to view the keywords by highest priority scores? Then potentially download the csv and alphabetize to help me narrow in on domains that would be the most worthwhile to develop?

I know it sounds like a big ask, and likely not possible, but never hurts to at least ask about it. Thanks!

So those sitelinks you see for [squatty potty website] are what I want showing up for [squatty potty] as well. I see a couple text links is all, not expanded full sitelinks.

Oh, I'm actually only looking at U.S. results of our .com. International sites are controlled by other distributors.

My company is Squatty Potty (yes, of magic unicorn fame) and I recently redid our website's navigation. We're overhauling it currently to rebuild the whole thing, but what is there should give a good idea of site hierarchy to Google I would think.

The funny thing is, when you Google [squatty potty website] we do have sitelinks. But when you Google just [squatty potty] we don't. Any ideas on why sitelinks would appear on one search but not the other? I see they appear with [squatty potty logo] as well. I can't figure out how to get them to appear for my brand name search, any help appreciated!

Hey all, I've just started at a new company. We spend quite a bit on Adwords and I'm tasked with seeing how that is going and assessing that spend. The problem is, Adwords and Youtube ads have been given to a third-party advertising agency. They are only willing to share the number of clicks, cost and conversions, stuff like that. They refuse to give us access to the account.

Is this legal? I mostly want to get in there to look at keyword history, see what we have bid on, how often it was searched, stuff like that. But they won't let us in and I'm wondering if they are required to let us look at our account as I would think they are. Please help!

yeah Majestic and others are picking them all up. OSE just doesn't.

1. These links are on blog posts of some decent blogs. They are not buried and appear to be the content on those domains OSE would crawl.

2. Most links are quite old and would definitely have appeared by now.

3. The links are all to the https version and regardless of which version I check in OSE, nothing comes up.

4. Again, not buried, not new. At least the ones I know about.

That's what is frustrating here. OSE seems to work fine when https isn't involved, but I made the whole site https per Google guidelines, and of all my sites, this one no longer seems to show any accurate link counts with OSE. All others are in good shape. I'm sure the https is at the root of the problem but can't figure it out. Surely I'm not the only https site they crawl, right? I'm sure they have this figured out.

My domain uses a redirect of all traffic to https. The site is https://www.tallslimtees.com. I've been working on it this year and know there are several good, topical links coming in. But OSE shows nothing. Any idea why this would be the case? How can I see all of my links and the data on them?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. You aren't changing the destination URL's here, so nothing in the index should change. Just have any URL that redirects only redirect to a destination URL, not another redirecting URL.
