Hi just would like if anyone could help me in provide some seo analysis on a new website http://www.ppilegalservices.co.uk/

main keyword is mis-sold ppi

Its a very competitive keyword but not being able to come on google result in long tail keywords as well, Just got ranked on brand keywords like PPI LEGAL Services.

Also running out of ideas as to how to create quality content any tips please?

We use http://uk.prweb.com/ its bit expensive but good value for money, and http://www.express-press-release.net/ which is cheaper then prweb.

You see different rankings on different computers depend on what kind of browser you use and if you have or haven’t deleted cookies and plug-in data. This does not mean that the real ranking changes, but only that your computer recognizes your searches and shows them  first.

You can use webmaster and install site speed using firefox the link is under Labs. And in analytics go to site content then site speed to get the data.

You need to make sure that your css is clean and the images are properly optimise,

And most importantly your hosting provider Which tier network does your server resides, Tier 2 i would prefer as the have just one hop count from the backbone so  you get good speed.

Would recomend Rackspace in US.

I do Agree with you but to be honest, unfortunately clients dont have patience to wait they would like to get quick results. And to earn link you need to have some help from your client in terms of any incentive but they don't want to spend anytime just like us to get on with things,

I had the same issue with a site in april it was hit by penguin, i then started removing link , and had to request for link to be remove numerous time from sites and then wait for google to get index.

i did it till end of june nothing happen also send a request to google the reply was there is no manual penalty but it could be algorithmic penalty  I checked my competitors link profile they were about 70 to 80 %  direct keyword anchor  then i compare it to mine and it was 63% after the analysis i start working on link building . start creating industry niche research content in our blog then some social activities and focus on guest blogging, but my anchor where all brand name or naked anchor . It work for me the SERPs are improving but still a long way to to go. sorry but im just sharing my experience.

Another way is to balance your link profile by creating backlinks Using generic , nacked and brand anchor links to balance things out,

Are you sure it is still awaiting approval? this year january i was crazy about it and i keep asking my seo guys to keep trying and we finally got a link from dmoz but then penguin came and the site got an algorithmic penalty . And lost all the ranking. Dmoz is a good linkback as its a very high link back. but I still have yet to see some benefits, I have change our strategy now working on Content to get more quality links

Yes we have also hired content writer in house and  dedicated designers to create quality infographics, But still yet to see any positive results. Everyone is saying that Content content and quality content is the key,

Other thing is to explain to clients that we would not be doing any of the link building activities and explaining them about penguin gets a bit hard. They want to see the work in bulk , "i mean show me the number" but explaining them that it will be harmful for there website is a bit tricky.

If the infographics is posted on the site then  bookmark first stumbleupon , digg, reddit and  delicious. Then tweet and share it in facebook and google +1. ( The key is your followers)

Then search for relevant blogs or forums then and post comment with link of the infographics, Key is find discussion relevant to the infographics topics.

It works for me simple but effective no rocket science.

And one more thing is that make sure that you have clear instruction of how to share and mentioned that the resource is free for everyone to share.

Do you know about  Rel=Canonical tag,  Its mainly use to handle duplicate content issues.

Thanks Stephen, Since june I am using long tail keywords  and url as an anchor text. It's hard to find pr3 dofollow. I am working more in creating Infographics, and social media like facebook , twitter , stumble and pinterest.
