No, I don't have exact match domain. But, I have added duplicate content on too many product pages since last two week. I believe that, Google have crawled all product pages which contain duplicate content. And, I am getting issue regarding ranking.

RE: Duplicate Content on Product Pages
Hi!
Actually you are doing well, as creating original product pages is the best option in order to avoid duplicated content issues.
I want to discuss more on this sentence. I am trying to establish user friendly experience on my eCommerce website by adding specific product description from manufacturer website to my website.
But, I am getting issue in ranking since last 3 days. My major keywords Office Chairs, Patio Umbrellas & Table Lamps are going down around -10 position. I have drill down more on it and come to know about this issue.
I have added product description from manufacturer website to my website in these category products. I am 100% sure, Google is giving rank drop due to this issue.

RE: Duplicate Content on Product Pages
This is very good discussion on duplicate content. Ranking is going down on my website since last 3 days.
I have done drill down with SEO latest update and come to know about duplicate content on product pages.
My website contain true duplicate content on product page. But, I have found duplicate content on competitor website. (overstock)
They are not getting any issue regarding ranking. But, my certain category level page getting issue with ranking. I have added true duplicate in more than 2000 pages from manufacturer website to my website.
I am going to recover it by removing duplicate content or adding unique content on product page. Is there any additional inputs from SEOmoz users?

RE: Which is best of narrow by search URLs? Canonical or NOINDEX
Dr. Peter J. Meyers
After long discussion, I can conclude that, I have to go with NOINDEX. Let's see what happen in next 4 months. Then, I will re-evaluate it for better performance. As per your suggestion, it's quite tricky to change tactics on weekly bases and it may not help us more in same direction. Thanks for your valuable time on my question and prompt reply on each question.

RE: Which is best of narrow by search URLs? Canonical or NOINDEX
Dr. Peter J. Meyers
Sorry, I'm a bit confused, because these sample URLs/situations seem very different from the ones you originally asked about.
I have changed URL structure in entire website and make it more SEO friendly.
but if your index exploded and you've got hundreds or thousands of thin pages, it may be worth doing in the short-term.
I have attached Index Status for Vista Stores screenshot to know more about it.
There are 12,000 product pages + 100 categories + 30 blog posts + 20 static pages + 1 home page = 12,151 pages are important for me and want to index and rank well.
Now, rest of pages are not duplicate ~ not near duplicate or true duplicate.
Just have a look at following pages.
http://www.vistastores.com/office-chairs/shopby/p-2
http://www.vistastores.com/office-chairs/shopby/p-3
Why should I set canonical tag pointing to base URL as follow. Because, page 2 and 3 does not contain any single product which is available on base page. So, Can we calculate as a duplicate? OR Will Google count as duplicate.

RE: Which is best of narrow by search URLs? Canonical or NOINDEX
Dr. Peter J. Meyers
I'm coming back on this question after 5 months. I have implemented Canonical tag to following pages. But, It did not work well and indexed too many duplicate content.
Narrow by search:
http://www.vistastores.com/office-chairs/shopby/manufacturer-boss
http://www.vistastores.com/office-chairs/shopby/manufacturer-boss/material-search-caressoftSorting:http://www.vistastores.com/office-chairs/shopby/dir-desc/order-positionNumber of products:http://www.vistastores.com/office-chairs/shopby/dir-desc/limit-100/order-positionPagination:http://www.vistastores.com/office-chairs/shopby/dir-desc/limit-100/order-position/p-4Right now, I have removed Canonical tag to entire website and implement NOINDEX Follow meta robots.I am really confuse between Canonical and NOINDEX Follow. Can you give me exact solution for my current CMS structure?

RE: How to fix duplicate issue among multiple root domains
Justin,
We can go with this way, but again there is one issue, as I told you that I don't have only one page on root domains, have entire same structure & all pages on root domains, then how can i all redirect to one sub folder, If I would have single page or landing page then I can redirect to new created sub folder.
And let's say I don't want to change anything in other root domains, then Do you have any other solution for the same..?
-
RE: How to fix duplicate issue among multiple root domains
Yeah, Justin Thanks for your reply. 2000 visits per day is huge visits, that's why I am looking proper solution for the same & at the same time traffics which are coming from root domains should not be affected..

RE: How to fix duplicate issue among multiple root domains
Thanks Justin for your quick reply,
But still I would like to share one thing to you that currently i am getting 2000 visits per day from all different root domains as I've customized Google e-commerce tracking code to track visits from all domains & if i will put canonical tag in other domains as you said, then Is there any chance to down the traffic from different domains which are coming right now, because I am getting huge traffic from those domains, so isn't it risky..?
So what can i do in this case? Should i do try with canonical tag or what.? What is your opinion in this case..?

http://www.orlandocabinets.com/
http://www.chicagocabinets.org/
http://www.miamicabinets.org/
http://www.newyorkcabinets.org/

RE: Does It Really Matter to Restrict Dynamic URLs by Robots.txt?
I am quite late to add my reply on this question. Because, I was busy to fix issue regarding dynamic URLs.
I have made following changes on my website.
- I have re-write all dynamic URLs and make it static one exclude session ID and internal search option. Because, I have restricted both version via Robots.txt.
- I have set canonical to near duplicate pages which Dr.Pete described in Duplicate content in post panda world.
I want to give one live example to know more about it.
Base URL: http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas
Dynamic URLs: It was dynamic but, I have re-write to make it static one. But canonical tag to base URL is available on each near duplicate pages which are as follow.
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/limit-100
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/lift-method-search-manual-lift
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/manufacturer-fiberbuilt-umbrellas-llc
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/price-2,100
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/canopy-fabric-search-sunbrella
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/canopy-shape-search-hexagonal
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/canopy-size-search-7-ft-to-8-ft
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/color-search-blue
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/finish-search-black
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/p-2
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/dir-desc/order-positionNow, I am looking forward towards Google crawling and How Google treat all canonical pages. I am quite excited to see changes in organic ranking with distribution of page rank in website. Thanks for your insightful reply.

How to Build High Quality eCommerce Web Site during Low Quality Web Pages?
Today, I was reading Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: More guidance on building high-quality sites.
I found one interesting statement over there.
Low-quality content on some parts of a website can impact the whole site’s rankings.
Why should I like to discuss on this topic? Because, I have made big change on my website via narrow by search.
I want to give specific result to know more about it.
This is my category page: http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas
Left narrow by search section is creating accurate page for specific attribute products.
California Umbrella:
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/manufacturer-california-umbrellaFrom above page following page is accessible.
Sunbrella Patio Umbrellas:
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/canopy-fabric-search-sunbrellaSimilar story for this page. Following page can accessible from above page.
http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas/shopby/canopy-fabric-search-sunbrella/finish-search-wood
My website have 100+ categories, 11,000 products.
I have checked indexed pages in Google for my website.
It shows me 35,000+ crawled pages which are developed by left navigation section.
So, Will it consider as low quality pages? I want to improve my website performance without delete these pages.

Duplicate Title Tags & Duplication Meta Description after 301 Redirect
Today, I was checking my Google webmaster tools and found 16,000 duplicate title tags and duplicate meta description.
I have investigate for this issue and come to know about as follow.
I have changed URL structure for 11,000 product pages on 3rd July, 2012 and set up 301 redirect from old product pages to new product pages.
Google have started to crawl my new product pages but, De-Indexing of old URLs are quite slower. That's why I found this issue on Google webmaster tools.
Can anyone suggest me, How can I increase ratio of De-Indexing for old URLs? OR any other suggestions? How much time Google will take to De-Index old URLs from web search?
