Fairly large BL profile since '07 so there's always some I don't recognize but the "recent links" in GWT will help me monitor this now. Thanks so much, if they keep coming from new domains I'll definitely have to get more serious finding the cause.

It should be OK if you have a single product on your homepage. You just need to follow these guidelines: The following guidelines apply to review snippets: When using review markup, the main topic of the page needs to be about a specific product or service. For example, using review markup on a page containing multiple products is not supported. Review of adult-related products or services are not supported. If the markup contains a single review, the reviewer’s name needs to be a valid name (Person or Organization). For example, “50% off until Saturday” is not a valid name for a reviewer. I'm not confident Google will display the stars, but I think for the cost it is well worth having a go.

I found out that my robots.txt file was blocking this page. The odd part is that I had setup robot to block a folder mortgage-calc/ and even through my page was not in this folder the spider must have thought they were connected, I don't know why but my page was indexed again.

I tested your site with the Bing SEO Toolkit, and it does not bring up a violation as it used to, so you can say that neither Bing or Google have a problem iwth cross domain canonical

It is a best practice, and it will have the additional benefit of helping you get the links back to the correct version of the site (since people often copy and paste the link from the browser, you're giving them the correct version to copy and paste).
