hi i write all the articles myself. everything on the site is unique although we have had people stealling content which makes me angry. how many ads would you say we should have on the right hand column and do you think we have the google ads in the right place.

Hi until we redesigned some of our site we were number one for a long time for the keyword lifestyle magazine but because we have been working hard on re-designing our site until we are happy we have dropped in rankings for the most important word.
the keyword as mentioned is lifestyle magazine and i would like your help with our site to help us know where we are going wrong and going right.
Because we have had many problems with the site over not found pages which we have now sorted out, we have not been working hard to update the site as we wanted to get the site right and we believe that we are nearly there.
With the website being a lifestyle magazine with changing stories i am not sure how to promote the keyword on our site of lifestyle magazine without it looking silly and would be grateful for your advice and help.
Can you please let me know what we need to do to promote the word lifestyle magazine.
also i work in joomla and i have a question. this question is with reference to optimization and i want to know if you have lots of different stories on a subject with us being a lifestyle magazine, does it mean that google is only interested in the latest one.
what i mean is, say for example we have a story on 'gastric band surgery is not the safest option' and then we have a story on 'gastric band surgery has caused another patient to die' and we are wanting people to find the story who are looking at gastric band surgery, does google look at both pages and think that the two stories are both on gastric band so we will not bother about them. not sure if i am explaining correctly or not.
what i am trying to say is, if someone searches for gastric band surgery, would both our pages turn up in the results or would google think well these two stories are about the same thing so we can only show one story.
any advice would be great and any recommendations on our site would be great
hi i am using joomla sef404 and i have 7000 not found pages in my webmaster google tool page. the trouble is i got rid of a lot of pages and also components so now i am left with loads of not found pages.
what i want to try and do is to create 301 redirects so that i do not lose page rank.

Hi i am new to seo and trying to teach myself the best way to improve a site and the best way to use the tools on seomoz.
The problem i have is. i am working on a page at the moment on a site. the page is called weight loss hypnotherapy http://www.clairehegarty.co.uk/weight-loss-hypnotherapy and i have around 130 links going to the page where as a site which is much higher than me in google has only around 5 links.
I cannot understand with being new to seo how this can happen, can anyone please explain what i need to do to improve my ranking please.

hi the reason why i have used other keywords such as hypno gastric band is for two reasons, one reason is that i have been told not to use the word gastric band hypnotherapy to many times but the trouble is i need to mention it with the topic i am talking about and the other reason is because i am explaining by what other names gastric band hypnotherapy is known by.

i do not understand it as there is not much relevant content to gastric band hypnotherapy and also it does not have many links pointing into it
