I didn't see Yoast on your site and not sure if you are using another plugin to help manage SEO issues. Yoast is pretty well respected and the plugin can help manage some of the duplicate content issues in Word Press. (tags, categories)

Also some good reads on the Yoast site on optimizing a Word Press site.  HTML5 and Schema should also be considered. There are some Word Press Gurus around here and hopefully they will chime in.

Figured it was a Google Apps conspiracy...

First check GWMT and see if you have received  a Manual Penalty. You cannot file a reconsideration request if you have not received a Manual Penalty. I don't think you have since using the operator site:http://www.aquaspresso.co.za/ you show up indexed for 5240 pages. That seems like there may be some duplicate content Panda issue. Wordpress may be causing duplicates with incorrect category/tag settings. I see you have Yoast and this is a good way to manage this. Also Woo Commerce and I think Yoast has a plugin specific to Woo Commerce. Hoping someone with more knowledge chimes in, but 5250 pages seems odd.

Yoast SEO plugin will do it.

Hey Patrick not sure if this is an issue or not but I notice if I enter http and your urls, your site serves the http version. Clicking on any menu item goes to https, but I would think the http should be re-directed to https?

The problem you must be aware of is Duplicate Content. This can hurt your rankings and result in a Google penalty.

Creating one page with the variants and options is generally preferred and safer. If you want more content and that's a great idea, consider a Blog to give your users a better experience on your site and help establish you as an expert in your field. Sure it's more work, but it can really differentiate your site.

Do a search here for "Duplicate Content" as this is a common question for eCommerce sites.

In my experience it takes a couple of days to show up. And generic keyword search will "trigger" (you'll see the rich snippet)

If you are concerned about "link juice" following to the new pages, you will need to set up 301 redirects.  I  don't know much about web.com but some of these services don't have a way to 301. It looks like some of your pages have different urls now but Google still has the index from the old site. The pages that have exactly the same names will be OK.

If there is no "link juice" to worry about, you may be all right just waiting for Google to figure it out. They will eventually re-index the new site.

You might also consider a different solution for your site using a CMS like wordpress and self hosting. That may give you more flexibility in the long run and a blog on your site would be good as well. Do a little reading here as there is a great deal of good advice. Congratulations on finding MOZ!

Moving my site to WP and the old url structure pages end in ".html".

I have seen there are plugins that allow you to add .html to the WP pages to preserve links.

I am hosting on Synthesis and they do not support htaccess, although you can submit 301 re-directs through the help ticket system. My question is what is the best way to proceed? I have read that 301s "leak" some link juice, but I sure do like those pretty urls.

Advice appreciated!

I also noticed there appears to be a W3TC debug file on the home page that is pretty big. Is it possible this plugin is misconfigured and causing issues?

In fairness to Synthesis, I believe my question was not clear and on a follow up they gave a very comprehensive response to my question and actually recommended this forum!

As to the htaccess issue, I may not understand this but I believe there is no htaccess file since they don't use apache. Quite a bit on them here <a>http://yoast.com/synthesis-managed-wordpress-hosting/</a>

Under the performance tab and  general settings check to see if debug mode is checked. Not that I am expert on this plugin! It is very complex.

I think most companies want to have a significant number of likes just for the optics.  A consumer might be skeptical of a site with very few likes. But what good likes actually do you is questionable. Especially since FB doesn't send your posts to your entire fan base but has some formula they use depending on your pages engagement. More over they want you to boost posts so they make a profit. Hey, can't blame them for that. "Boosting" a post sends it to more of your fans.

There are pages that keep fans engaged and no doubt it helps the business, but it takes posting regularly. If you just want a nice big number of likes, use FB advertising as others here have suggested to get more likes. It is relatively easy to do and they have very good help pages. They even have a program for new advertisers where they will mentor you through desktop sharing with one of their in house trainers. It requires a commitment to spend $50/day for 30 days on FB ads. The trainers are very good as well.
