Yes, it matters. Your site is properly set up to 301 redirect the www URL to the non-www equivalent. Each time that happens, there is a minor loss of link juice. When possible, you want those linking to your site to use your main url, http://centralplumbingnm.com/

Make sure if the url structure has changes from the old structure to the new structure that you have all the correct 301 re directs mapped out. Also track on site errors on the new site too make sure any errors are fixed with the correct re directs. Also try and keep titles the same where possible too imo..

I know the probklem, unfortunatly there is not much you can do. if there is not enouth in the plumbers in the map, they will zoom out, soif you can remove enouth cheaters you may get in. google will remove the cheaters if you click report a problem.
