Could the EMD update affect my domain?
When you say "I would not do it" are you meaning that you would not add "- Free Scrabble Dictionary" at the end of all titles? Right... I used to have my domain at the end of the titles and removed it. If you believe that your title tag becomes irrelevant without that, and could be confused with any dictionary or any other type of site, then leaving it in would be a good idea. What I am advocating works for my sites, which are a mix of information and retail. When you say "I would not do it" are you meaning that you would not add "- Free Scrabble Dictionary" at the end of all titles?

Would you consider this to be thin content
The test will be to see if google will index these pages, if they will rank high enough for anything to pull traffic, and if Google sees them as a Panda problem. I think these definition pages are risky. Go out and look at what the dictionary sites (that rank for anything) have done on their definition pages. There is a lot more content. ================================ On this page, Google sees a one sentence definition and one sentence that uses the word. There is also a lot of characters that Google will not understand. http://www.freescrabbledictionary.com/dictionary/word/haboob/ I copied some of the definitions and searched for them in text on Google. The definitions that I checked were found verbatim on over 1000 websites. The example sentences that use these pages are also not unique. They are found on other websites. These pages are risky for another reason.

Can anyone see what hurt me in my traffic
Yeah - it doesn't seem to match known updates, but it's certainly dramatic movement. This isn't some seasonal shift or cyclical thing - these are clearly steep climbs and drops. We don't know the dates of most of the Panda data refreshes, but we do pin one at Sept. 23, 2014, so even that's not lining up cleanly here. Are you seeing a lot of losses in the long-tail? The site doesn't seem to have much authority, but you've got 10K+ pages indexed, and I strongly suspect that many of them may look thin to Google. It feels Panda-like, for lack of a better word, even if it isn't quite Panda (maybe just a very strong filter). Meanwhile, if the links you have our problematic at all, you could be hitting a double-whammy. It might not be a single update, but you could be getting hit by a number of different changes over time. The trend-line certainly isn't promising. My concern is the individual definition pages, like: http://www.freescrabbledictionary.com/dictionary/word/barrio/ While it looks to have a lot of content, the definitions come from online dictionaries (or, at least, are shared with them), and the examples seem to be drawn from publicly available web pages. So, it's very possible that each element on these pages looks duplicated across the web to Google. With a strong link profile, it might not be a problem, but if you're struggling on links and with content, the odds could end up stacked against you. Truthfully, you may have to see where your strongest ranking pages are (are they top-level or long-tail) and consolidate. If you've taken losses on individual word pages and most of your traffic is coming from pages like this: http://www.freescrabbledictionary.com/word-lists/words-with-a/ ...then you might want to consider not indexing those lower-value pages and focusing on what's working. This could help concentrate your link equity on a stronger offering. It's a difficult choice, but I don't think you're looking at a technical problem here or a clear, single-shot penalty. I think you're looking at a systemic problem. Looks like you've got a chunk of 404s in your category pages, too, such as: http://www.freescrabbledictionary.com/word-lists/words-with-z/10-letters/ Not sure what's up there - if you're trying to de-index those, or if there's a technical issue. Unfortunately, I suspect this is a complex, multi-layer problem and there probably isn't a single solution. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my gut feeling at a glance.

Web spam traffic coming from Fort Lee in Google Analytics
It definitely doesn't seem to be valid traffic, although the bounce rate in our case is still pretty on the normal side all the traffic is direct and comes via the service provider: xlhost.com inc.

Should I worry about backlinks like this?
HI Cesar If you're worried about them you could always use the dissavow tool. The truth is we can never be in total control of backlinks as anyone can link to a website. Automated tools pull in content from Blogs, RSS etc. As long as your profile isn't biased to the Dark Side I wouldn't worry too much. Keep an eye on it and use the dissavow tool if required.

OMG! does Google really consider text-decoration:none as a hidden link?
For the last 2 years my site tanked and I have tried everything under the sun to fix it and nothing ever changed it. I was going crazy. I just realized that I had this set on much of all my links on my site and I am wondering if this is what happened to me. Did you say that you were effected by the same thing? Did you recover?

When do Panda ranking factors apply when Google deindexes a page
I have over 800,000 pages total that contain duplicate content "if" that is an issue with my definitions. I would assume that Panda would slap me hard for that, again "if" that is the issue. Since I have never tried to deindex this many pages I am hoping this works and I will take a few coffee breaks waiting because its going to be a while lol I have nothing to lose and I feel like I have tried a ton. Thanks so much

Favorite to many tweets: a violation?
At least in their API their seems to be no limit to favorite a certain number of tweets. Also I've never heard anybody argue that they couldn't favorite anymore tweets.

Anyone with Forums experience + adsense
Hi Cesar, I run a forum with over 30k threads, 187k posts, and just south of 92k members, and from my experience (good/bad), find a hosting company that specializes in hosting forums. Yes, there are companies that cater to forum hosting and forum maintenance. You should expect to pay a premium for the service, but it's well worth the seed investment, especially if you are planning to monetize the traffic long-term. Plan on isolating the forum from any other websites you might want to host on the same server (dedicated or virtual), as this will keep issues to a minimum. Also, pick a forum software that has regular updates, patches, and access to active supporting members of that software. Going with a free forum software is not always so attractive, when issues arise. Some issues include corrupt databases, hacks, and forum membership difficulties. The company I host my forum with today even assisted me with exporting, transferring, and reconnecting my very large MySQL database. So, hosting a Forum is just a bit different than a Wordpress website, but if you take care of the upfront investment, things will work out just fine for you. Good luck with celebrity and let us know who it is, when you can announce Suggestions, as you have requested: Forum Software: http://www.vbulletin.com Forum Themes: There are lots to pick from, but you might look into a custom theme for your celebrity. Forum AdSense: I've hand coded Adsense into the include file, to keep it simple and clean. Similar to Wordpress, there are plugins that make it easy for vbulletin ad placement too. Forum Hosting: Private message me and I'll make a suggestion.

Infinite Scrolling Long Lists and SEO
Infinite scroll may be useful for users, because they don't need to click click and click. From an SEO point of view, yes it may be a problem if you don't set it up correctly. Adam Sherk wrote a magnificent post about how to correctly set from an SEO point of view the use of infinite scrolling: http://www.adamsherk.com/seo/seo-tips-for-infinite-scrolling From a page performance point of view, I also suggest you to use - sorry I cannot remember the correct naming right now - that function that "retard" the upload of the content until it is now visible by the user due to the scroll down itself. That way you are not uploading all the content of the page at the same time but just when it is really needed by the user.

My Penguin Recovery Attempt
I see what you are saying, I was referring to total links. Not domains

Asking users to link back to you, is that cheesy?
Don't really agree with the answers posted here. A lot of people need some incentive to do an action. Maybe paraphrasing it a better, including "if" and "then do" terms in the text there will help a lot. So for example: "If you love the help you got from our website, make sure to tell your friends" will help a lot. Many people simply need to have the idea planted in their minds to do an action like that. Thanks!
