Examples of Domain Change for Big Brands
One we were watching, the Official site for Jehovah's Witnesses went from watchtower.org to jw.org with a major site redesign. What makes it an interesting case study is that it was a multi language site as well.

Hreflang Sitemap
Hola Carlos! I'd suggest you to use the tool Mediaflow offers for free for creating sitemaps.xml with the hreflang annotations. Check this page from their site, because it explains well what the tool does and how you can use it: http://www.themediaflow.com/resources/tools/href-lang-tool/

Organic Links and Skimlinks Affiliate Program
The selling point makes sense and I could see how that would be true. But if you are not seeing an increase then it is not worth it, especially if your focus is on the organic traffic.

Webmaster Tools Internal Links
After diving deeper, it looks like it is a matter of breadcrumbs and other types of navigation. Here is an example of how different pages are linking to /Mens_Bags-600/: /Electric_Goggles_and_Electric_Sunglasses~65 links once via the top navigation /Surfdome_Mens_Bags-600/132 links twice via the top navigation and the breadcrumb /Bags-372/ links three times via the top navigation, left navigation, and in as in-line text as MENS BAGS> As you can see, depending on the page, the linking structure can vary greatly on your site. I didn't dive extremely deep into your site, so there definitely could be other instances of other types of linking structures on different page layouts. This would definitely explain why some of your pages have MANY in links, while others don't. I hope this helps; otherwise, like I said, Screaming Frog can pinpoint exactly where your in links are coming from, which can help you figure out the entire linking structure of your site. Hope this helps. Mike

Disavow Tool - WWW or Not?
To clear up any uncertainty, I think there are two questions being asked: Link to be disavowed: Do I disavow both the www and non-www versions of a bad link? Site you own: Which site in webmaster tools do I upload the disavow list to - www or non-www? The link to be disavowed is an easy answer because in most cases if you want a link disavowed, you probably don't want a link from that domain (because its suspect, de-indexed, etc.). Therefore you can simply blanket it with domain:badwebsite.com. This will be sure to get any link from this site to yours, regardless of the subdomain (i.e. www.badwebsite.com, ww2.badwebsite.com, forum.badwebsite.com, etc.) Answer #2 isn't quite as easy. The safest (and arguably proper) way is to link mine both the www and non-www versions of your website and treat each as a separate site (as Google does). Even if you are using 301 redirects or canonicals I still recommend this method. In many cases, one version will have a much smaller backlink volume. In any case, pick out the bad links and try to get them removed by emailing the website. Once the attempt has been made, Compile the remaining backlinks (still in separate lists for www and non-www), and upload them to their respective disavow tool areas.

Duplicate Content - What's the best bad idea?
This applies to Google Mini or Search Appliance which are custom search tools for an individual website. They allow site owners to sculpt the indexing of their private set ups. Adwords also has something to help indicate the important content for determining the page topic for relating ads. However, they don't apply to Googlebot spidering as mentioned above.

Schema.org and YouTube Videos
Video content and audio content can be indexed and made SEO friendly which can improve the search visibility on varied search options of the search engines. One of the ways is to add the video and audio content using microdata as per the schema.org. Usually when we add video we embed the code generated via YouTube for that video if it is on YouTube or for that matter any other video broadcasting site like vimeo, Ted, etc. For example: <iframe width="”560″" height="”315″" src="”http://www.youtube.com/embed/7xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx?list=UU0LI2nnnSO6lP8ZFj9FIdyA&hl=en_US”" frameborder="”0″" allowfullscreen=""></iframe> But using the microdata format as per schema.org the same code can be written as : Video: SEO xxxxxxxxxx <iframe src="”http://www.youtube.com/embed/xxxxxxxxxxxxk”" frameborder="”0″" width="”640″" height="”390″"></iframe> Description, keywords and markup here . More information here: http://schema.org/VideoObject

Disavow Subdomain?
Carlos, the 2 options are indeed correct. But you can disavow spam.site.com (www.site.com is also a subdomain in fact). I would like to suggest the same thing Google is suggesting: Do not just use the disavow tool but contact the website with the links pointing to your website you don't want and start by kindly asking them to remove the links. Try to solve it by getting the spammy links down in stead off overloading google with requests about the links. hope this helps Kind Regards Jarno

Is this link SEO-Friendly?
Hi Irving, Thanks for responding to my thread. Yes, that's also what I think. The only thing that worries me is that when you click on the link, because of the Javascript, instead of taking you to www.example.com it just triggers the script. Have a look at an example here http://www.surfdome.com/Mens_Boots-677/ - Links under "Related Styles" at the top. Cheers, Carlos

Facebook Open Graph Buttons
Those buttons will have been created by the company themselves and styled to look like a Facebook button. I'm sure they will create post to their Timeline saying something along the lines of "I want this...insert link to product". You can do this using Open Graph. If you have no experience with it I would suggest starting here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/opengraph/tutorial/

E-commerce Customer Reviews/Ratings Solutions?
Unless you can find a 3rd party provider who allows you to "white-label" their rating/reviews to your subdomain, there is not much value having it. The review/rating system should work semi-automatic to block any type of spam and you should own the data (i.e. be able to export it). Unless you can run this on a subdomain, there is zero SEO value for you though....

Page Authority Bulk Check?
Looks like you need to go to the settings tab and re-enter your API credentials. You can find those under the Research Tools tab. Let me know if that works out. Ryan

Site Structure Question
The only other thing to consider is how you want to parse all this out in Analytics. If you were to go to the folder structure, it may be easier to parse things out as you can look at a folder by folder basis. GA automatically creates reports based on a folder (aka slash) hierarchy. You would not have that with the dashes. Also, you can setup regexp to parse on the slashes to setup some really cool filters and advanced segments. You may get the same thing with your dashes as long as you are consistent with how you use the dashes. So the first slot is always gender, the second slot is always style and the the last is product name. I am with EGOL that it may be a moo point, but wanted to put in another variable for your to consider in what works best for you. Cheers
