Hi - the category has been defunct I've been told (by someone in the Adwords team).
There was an update expanding categories but some where dropped and this is why this is no longer present.

Hi Irving,
Thanks for your help.
The competition all have the same description - literally everyone of them. For us the category simply isn't available as a variant or exactly as they have it. I've not seen this before and Can't see why Google won't allow it?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Gareth
Hi Mozzers,
I'm working on a client's G+ profile and sub-pages and the competition all have one simple category - 'House Clearance'.
When you start typing there is a drop down and this category isn't present for us? Nowhere near. This is what the client does and I can't work out howe to get it in the page?
Anyone else had this problem.
Thanks
Gareth
That's great - many thanks for all of your help.
I'll update this post of any outcome as it may help others in the future.
Thanks Dr Pete

Hi Dr Pete,
Thanks as always. I just re-read my response and the spelling mistakes are shocking so apologies for that
Can I ask if I implement a tag page by page and choose say 10 pages to rel= canonical from the parent site to the blog will this boost the the DA of the blog? We have links from the parent site to the blog in the footer. Will a Rel=Canonical tag pass more juice over to get it ranking? We want the blog to rank for brand name only which is an exact match of the parent URL. Parent URL ranks number 1, we want blog 2, 3 or 4.
I can't go into specifics so sorry to be vague.
Thanks as always
Gareth
Hi Dr Pete,
Thanks for your answer on this. In this case the rationale behind the implementation was purely to drive traffic over to the blog (not the parent site which is well known) to get more exposure of the blog content. The piece that was released was pretty 'hot' at the time and could gain more returning visitors and exposure to the blog which in comparison is little known.
In the end is wasn't possible and the news which got lots of traction went on the parent site so tage was implemented.
I can that splitting the blog away from the parent site is messy and we always advise against this, however in this case there is internal justification for this which I can't go into here.
Thanks for everything as always
Gareth
Hi Streamline,
We have to add the tag - the snippet idea although a great idea doesn't work for them.
Can I ask you as a follow up - is the below tag correct . I would add this to the parent site and the below tag tells Google that the parent site is hosting content and the blog is the canonical versions:
The below tag to the parent site, I'll add it to the section of the parent site not the blog:
Hi Streamline - thanks for such a helpful response.
I'll see what I can do and post here the outcome if i use Rel=canonical as it may help others.
Cheers for everything

Hey Mozzers,
Can you help me with something please. I have some important content going live next week for a client. We work on there blog optimisation and this piece of content is going live on both the blog and parent site. The parent site has huge DA in comparions to the blog.
I want to get the traffic directed to the blog and get the blog ranking - bare in mind the content is exactly the same so it is dupe.
If I want to get the blog ranking above the parent site and to direct the traffic here is a cross domain Rel=Canonical the answer?
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks
Bush
Hi Mozzers,
Has anyone got any good tips to get an image to rank in blended search when a user searches for a specific company name.
I'm not talking about image search - I'm talking about the regular SERPs that sometimes contain images (normally logos) when you search for 'Coca Cola' for example - any ideas.
Thanks
Gareth
Thanks Alex,
Your question from earlier is interesting regarding a similar service for private Q&A. A pay per question service would be welcomed as drilling down on clients issues privately is very important. I'd happily pay more or pay per question on certain issues.
Cheers

Hi Keri,
That is a shame but as many of the other Pro Members have commented it's not a deal breaker. Dr Pete used to answer most of my questions so I'll miss him dearly but the the public Q&A is sufficient for most cases.
Can I ask is the Public Q&A open for indexation by Google or do you need to be cookied in to read the questions? I'm trying to understand if Google alerts or clients searching for their site will pick up questions about them when mentioned? It's always great to get another opinion on certain subjects but of course some clients may not want their indexation issues or site crawling issues 'out there' for everyone to see.
Thanks

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your reply.
Its not the meta data - its the text on the page. I want a tool that can crawl the text and show me the highest densities of 2 and 3 word terms. The old TE tool did this, it wasn't super accurate (you would get 2 word term like 'contact us' for example) but it pulled some good terms from sites and it was quick.,
Thanks in advice

Hi Mozzers,
Some time ago there was a term extractor tool in SEOMOz which is now disabled.
I want to run a keyword scraper test or something similar on some sites - what are people currently using for something like this?
Thanks in advance

Hi Mark,
Good idea - I didn't think of the Twitter profiles - I'm a Pro Member so have full access to FW and all the tools.
Thanks for your help

Hi Mozzers,
Can you help me with something please. I need a tool (preferably free or low cost) to find a list of influencers (blog or some types of publication) in a particular marketplace. Step 2 would be to see if we can then syndicate content but I need to find them first.
Obviously there Google blog finder and general searches, I've used other tools in the past but a long time ago - what are people using now and what's the best?
Thanks
B
