Hi Nathan, Has Volusion implemented this change yet? Will They?

I have changed title tags on several sites, several times and those sites never experienced any kind of negative impact. There was one instance in 2009 when I updated a title tag on an ecommerce site. This was one of many changes made at the same time. One of the changes I was "directed" to make was to add about 6-8 really spammy direct links using exact match anchor text to the home page. The site dropped from 1st position for its brand name. The cause was determined to be my optimized title tag....not the spammy links the CEO decided to add to the home page. Within a few days the site was back in the number one spot. I think this is a good example of the correlation = causuality Brandlabs mentioned above. Just because I know Brandlabs specializes in Volusion, you might find it interesting that the scenario I just described occurred on a Volusion store.

I'd first get a better definition of "top performing" SEO keywords. The ones that get the most visits? The ones that rank highest? The ones that get the most conversions? The ones that drive the highest-priced sales?

My Pleasure.  SEOmoz has a lot of great tools and each of them are valuable in their own ways.  I would take the time to go through all of them (whether you use them or not) to just get an idea of what each does specifically.  The Help Hub is a great section with short videos on each product and feature here.  If we don't have a tool on here you love then you can always look through PRO Change Log and see if any of the tools you want are in development or you can suggest new ones too.

I just looked at your site and you don't have a H1 tag on the home page. Let me advise you to setup a Bing Webmaster account for your site and review the SEO report. It will caution you on H1, title, meta, duplicate pages and more.

The URL can be counted twice and this is duplicate content.  If Google sees a link to that second URL with the parameters on the end, it won't assume it's the same page as the page with the URL that doesn't have the parameters. A few things you can do to mitigate this: In Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools, if those parameters never result in unique pages, you can tell each search engine to ignore each one of those parameters.  If you ignore all of those parameters within webmaster tools, the second URL example above will resolve to the first URL in their eyes of each search engine. You can set a rel canonical on all of your pages to the root page URLs.  Then no parameters will ever affect the indexing of your pages. I'd be a little wary of setting rel canonical on all of my pages (I don't do this so I can't report if it works or not), so I'd personally opt for option 1 and not option 2, although theoretically each one should solve the problem.

I have avoided using a line break by putting the product name in a single cell table and constricting the width.

I see this question has been answered years back from now. But what's the importance of this issue in today's world. I just got a client's website and he want to add SEO optimized content in the scroll bar at the bottom of the page. I don't know if that's a spam or not. Can you please suggest me.
