One more question Patrick, you mentioned this "From a back-link standpoint, you may have back-links pointing to old blog posts that you will want removed if they are irrelevant or spammy, and you may have really good links that you want to update to point to the new blog"

Question - Can I migrate the blog, and then direct any links that went to our old blog to the new one we have? I would have assumed that could only be done by the source that pointed to our older blog originally?

Thank you Patrick, food for thought indeed. I am going to give some thought to migrating for sure. We have 1 keyword that we get more traffic from on our older blog that our main website each month, so I'm a bit cautious. I appreciate your input for sure though. Graham
