Blog content and panda?
Panda is a site-wide reduction in rankings. Site-wide. So, if you have crap on the site your good content will suffer right along with the crap. The days of publishing crap are over if you want lots of traffic from Google.

Swapping page keyword?
There is more to ranking for a keyword than changing out title tags or some such. This actual page on your site has the search term in the URL and likely in the content. There may also be external elements propping that page up. Likewise, the homepage has a job to do also and may be relevant for other terms. I would do the following: 1. Make sure the homepage is fully optimised around that term 2. Make sure this other page is fully optimised around whatever term that now focusses on 3. Request a crawl of your site and then wait for everything to adjust From a super quick look that page also has some links so you could redirect that page to your homepage and then create a new page for whatever other term you want to focus on there. This may cut down any confusion between which page should rank for each search term (the new search term will have a new page + this page will be rolled into the homepage). As ever, you need to experiment and measure the results and likely be a little patient. Hope that helps Marcus

Please help need experienced eyes
Hi Bob, You seem to know what you're talking about and have some pretty decent rankings. I think you need to start with conducting a comprehensive competitor analysis looking at both on-site factors and off-site factors (ie, backlinks). This will help you to identify opportunities where you can really get the edge on your competitors. Aleyda Solis did a great infographic and post about this very topic which I highly recommend - https://moz.com/blog/illustrated-seo-competitive-analysis-workflow. With Vista Print being a huge company, you might be hard-pushed to rank first but I would definitely spend some time to look at their link profile as well as the other top competitors to see how they're approaching their link building strategies.

Please help with serp placment question?
To be honest, it's a huge question that likely doesn't actually have a definitive answer. There could be something going on with each of those sites that's leading them to outrank you. One thing that might give you some insight is the Keyword Difficulty, which is part of Moz Pro. It can run a Full SERP Report that'll give you an analysis of the signals that are _most likely _helping the sites on page rank. Cyrus Shepard make a pretty great video on it here.

Url grabber?
There are some pretty good suggestions here, though I think we have your extreme case (50 pages) covered as well. Advanced Web Ranking can record results about as deep as you would like to go. Though you will have to 'tune' AWR and likely employ some proxies to get those results without being blocked. Settings>Performance>General Performance Settings (in the second drop down) I haven't used this utility in a couple of years, but it can go about as deep and wide as you need - on the spot - if you use proxy IP addresses. I used it to report on 200K+ total keywords (I'm glad those days are done-ish.), with one report comprising about 30K KW. That report took a bit of tweaking to avoid being blocked.

Can someone please help with technical question!
Hi Bob, I want to apologize for the misinformation I gave you. I misread your question and apologize for that. Paul, I apologize if I miss led Bob. I misread it, and all I can do at this point is apologize. I put the work in because I read the question I thought they were speaking of something else. So that's why I spent the time to Try and answer it. I've spoken to Keri privately and while I can't say I will never misinterpret something again ever I am definitely doing things to prevent that from happening. All the best, Thomas

Url structure of a blog
Hey Shaun, I wouldn't be so concerned with the length of the URL (see this Moz page outlining that URL length is second from the bottom in search ranking factors http://moz.com/search-ranking-factors according to 120 leading search marketers who participated) as you could put more efforts and time towards some of the other On-Page SEO items from the list to implement. Just make sure your Categories, Archives and Tags from the blog are marked off as NoIndex/NoFollow. If you are using the All In One SEO plugin for WordPress (which I recommend), then you just have to check a couple boxes on the Settings page to accomplish this task to make the blog more SEO/search engine friendly. Hope this was helpful! - Patrick

Blog home page and SEO
Hey Bob, The short answer is that most people don't do this because they don't know that they should, or they haven't gotten around to it. Static homepages with well-written introductory content are almost always better than a dump of 5-10 blog post teasers, even for blogs that don't have any other function than publishing blog posts. For examples of good custom homepages on websites that only feature blog content, I'd point you towards these examples: http://mywifequitherjob.com/ http://www.seattlehomestead.com (this is my site, but I think it's a good example of custom homepage/introduction content)

Blog home page and ranking
I have done that for a blog with Dynamic content before. You could just add a block of text in the widget area titled "About Us".

Please help with some content ideas
Hi Bob, That sort of idea could work really well for you too. I'd suggest reaching out to experts in your niche and asking them for their Small Business Marketing in 2014 Predictions (it's that time of year, right?). Resource-style content also seems to work well in the small business space. I've been working with my client Simply Business for a number of years now, creating guides around various topics which have been pretty successful: http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk/microsites/guide-to-social-media-success/ http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk/microsites/productivity/email-guide/ http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk/microsites/google-adwords/ http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk/microsites/wordpress-for-small-businesses/ http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk/microsites/google-analytics-guide/ http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk/microsites/twitter-for-small-businesses/ http://www.simplybusiness.co.uk/microsites/googleplus-for-small-businesses/ You might also find some ideas here: http://moz.com/blog/companies-in-boring-niches-creating-great-content I hope this helps, Hannah

Please help with creation of slideshare
With the help of a designer. The slides in the example you pointed are images. You need someone creative with decedent skills in a graphics editing program like Photoshop and after the images are made you use any slideshow creation software to transform them into a presentation.

Links and how they count?
Agreed with Chris. I'd prefer to have a ton of branded links (whether it's URL or brand name) and then target whatever keyword I want on the actual page.

Why does this site rank above us?
Looking at the links, there's definitely some unnatural linkbuilding going on with both sites. Google is likely discounting many of the links that Moz has found. Theirs appears a little more unnatural, but without a link-by-link review, it's hard for me to say which of your link profiles is being discounted more. I'd encourage you to seek out a more strategic method of getting coverage where your potential customers are online. Google incorporates a lot of data into their decisions, so it might not be all about links. We should not assume that PA/DA has all of the answers. Link metrics is one of the larger factors, but it's certainly not the only one. Google does seem to incorporate user metrics to a greater degree lately. The most well-known result is a Penguin penalty, but the less-discussed action is that Google will actually reward sites that seem to satisfy the user query well. In any case, you can't go wrong by giving the user what they want. I think this is one area where you can improve. Make the purpose and customer action on the page clear. For example, compare http://www.discountbannerprinting.co.uk/banners/vinyl-pvc-banners.html to http://www.signfirm.com/banners/printed-pvc-banners.html, and ask yourself, "what is the function of this page?" My answer on the first one would be, "to learn about what a vinyl PVC banner is." The SignFirm page's function seems to be "to buy a PVC banner." I understand that the CTA is to get a quote, but we should also understand that most of the sidebar content will be ignored. Also consider a re-design to make the site simpler. Make the things your customer wants stand out. Right now everything stands out so much that nothing does. It's quite busy with tons of colors and a lot of text.

Need help please with website ranking problem!
Tom's answer is pretty right on the mark. It could be many things. For one, I think your link profile in terms of anchor text is pushing over optimization, especially for that one page. I suspect the link sources might be mainly press releases etc (known "link building" methods) but I didn't dig into that a whole ton. I'd really try to get your links a bit more branded for anchors etc. Check out this for link building ideas - and check out this for some possible trickiness because of your partial match domain. On site, there may be some basic things to clean up. I ran Screaming Frog - see some long page titles, long descriptions (or missing descriptions) and in general the page titles could be a bit better I think. For example; "Cheap PVC Banners & Vinyl Banners Custom made Plastic material" Could be a bit better for search engines and users. Maybe; "Premium PVC & Vinyl Banners At Affordable Prices!" It could be whatever you'd like but I am finding that "un-seo'ing" titles these days and making them more user friendly (while keeping your keyword in there) can help. Also - are PVC and Vinyl the same thing? If they are different you may be throwing off the semantic relevance there. -Dan

Does google have trigger words it does not like?
Hello Bob, Considering you are selling stickers regarding supplements, etc. you really do not have a worry. First, no poison words and second, the search engines have already said, "we need your help with this and we would like to provide a solution." Since you are selling a product: use Product markup and there will be no question as to what you are involved in. Even if you did not, and you were still selling stickers. The robots will look at a lot on the page and they will semantically infer who or what you are / are selling, etc. So, if you have supplements over and over and discount preceeds it, the inference will be that you are selling discount supplements. But if you have stickers for supplement bottles. Stickers for supplement boxes, etc. you will fall elsewhere. (Yes, all, I am being simplistic.) Good question though as I have heard the 'rumors' of the poison words, etc. Just never seen any proof.

Please help with page
We made the changes around 3 weeks ago but we thought that the page would be the most powerful and ranks well for banner terms so vinyl banners would work on there (vinyl banners can be quoted for on the home page calculator). What would you suggest changing to make this work. Also thank you for your help I really appreciate it.

Links how long do they show?
Typically they will be removed in a few updates on their crawls. The timing may vary with each different crawler. This is a good read on which crawler could be more reliable. Again there is no perfect tool that can crawl all the web...except maybe Google. http://www.seobook.com/comparing-backlink-data-providers
