If we have a top nav with contact us, about us, delivery, FAQ, Gallery, how to order ect but none of these we want to rank and then we have the usual left hand nav.are we wasting juice with the top nav and would we be better either removing it and putting them further down the page or consolidating them and adding an extra products tab so the product pages are first.

Content ideas?
We run a printing company and we are struggling to come up with unique content people will actually want to know, is there any way of getting the ball rolling?
We were thinking of ideas such as exhibition guide but this seems to have been overdone.
Any help would be appreciated.

Link worth?
These are not my links but does anyone know what the value of one link from something like below is (bio or body)
http://designwebkit.com/web-and-trends/how-many-fonts-designer-really-need/
www.thebuildingblox.com/termite-turmoil-how-to-identify-and-remedy-the-problem/
http://creativeoverflow.net/the-10-best-alternatives-to-dropbox/
in comparison with links from below
www.01fangchan.com
www.1.inerdentos.ru
www.1000empregos.com
www.1stdirectory.co.uk
www.2halsi.com
www.3dir.co.uk
www.514friends.com
www.57billion.comWe disavowed around a 1000 links of the above quality (crap) and need to rebuild decent quality links and i would just like to know what the guess is on how many links such as below would need to be built to compensate for the loss.

Would need to replace 1000.

Changes to SEO with disavow?
Has the game changed a lot with the disavow tool I can see people still saying check out what our competitors are doing but with just going through a disavow myself how do you actually know what the correct link diversity is as 0 - 100% of the links could be disavowed.
Also could a competitor not just buy a load of spammy links and disavow them to mask there real links. (I know in my backlinks on 150 are good and the rest is disavowed crap)

RE: 3 quick questions?
Sorry but I do have to disagree, I could state around 10 competitors (pretty much all of them) that are either buying old domains and putting blogs up on them or some other form of crap link building and still even though we are doing high quality guest posting (on highly related sites) and gaining links from customers ect we still are very far behind now our spam links have been disavowed (see below) On site is also taken into consideration and is defiantly in our favor.
I can also state this because we just disavowed a load of links that i know were spam (an old SEO we used 2 - 3 years ago) and have now been cleared of a penalty but this has caused a big drop in our rankings (50%) which = that the spam links were been counted for a lot.

3 quick questions?
- Are CSS Gallery's just the same as submitting to directories.
(2) How do you go about offering to sponsor people (how do you find the people that need sponsoring and would be able to add a link to there site in exchange)
(3) We have a lot of powerful guest posts (most branded and in the bio) but some competitors seem to be out ranking us with not many more links (most from crap guest posts, directories and forum) but a fair few have keyword anchor text does Google put a lot of weight still on anchor text over link quality and how do you out rank these people when low quality anchor heavy links are beating high quality branded links.

I can’t understand, please help?
Our old <acronym title="Search Engine Optimization">SEO</acronym> built a lot of bad links (web 2.0, article ect) and in April of 2012 we received the dreaded
Google Webmaster Tools notice of detected unnatural links to XXXXXXXX
After 4 requests and disavowing all of the links he created we have finally received
Reconsideration request for xxxx Manual spam action revoked
The only problem is that this feels more of a penalty than when the received the detected links email?
Everything across the board as dropped, I know we added more and more links to the disavow but everything has been going up with the quality we have been putting out until today when we received the manual action revoked.
Has anyone experienced this, I feel like I wish we were still under the penalty as the rankings have dived.

RE: Link Clean up?
But the problem is that one or two of my tools are sending me domains that are not in any of the tools seomoz, webmaster tools, link research tools, ahrefs and majestic.
So how do I do a full clean up when none of these tools have the full scope of links we have (some of the links date back to 2011 - 2012)?
-
Link Clean up?
I am currently trying to find all of our bad backlinks and have run seomoz, webmaster tools, link research tools, ahrefs and majestic yet I am still getting weekly updates from link research tools that show links that were done in 2011 – 2012.
What can I do if Google is seeing links from 2011 – 2012 which I cannot clean up.

Link juice and no follow?
I was just reading a post on link flow and wondered if we have links at the top of our site such as contact us, how to order, gallery, delivery and about us if we are not trying to rank these pages would it be a good idea to no follow the links to retain all link juice for the pages we want to rank?

Link colour on page?
I always thought that the link colour has to be different from text colour?
I have come across a site http://www.printandpackaging.co.uk/ and it has made me question this belief, they seem to only have bolded the link which would be very nice if this is fine.

RE: Link love videos 2013 released?
Do you take out anything from the live events? I know if you go to the live link love / search love event that you can possibly get a word with the speakers but do you take anything out of the speeches.

Question about multiple websites in same field
I know what most people say that it is best to only have the 1 website for focus but if we can put this to the back of our minds, if we create 2 different websites that are totally different designs (one upmarket one and one targeting the cheaper market) but in the same fields (printing) and go after 80% of the same keywords is this ok (could we be penalized).
Please note we will not be interlinking the websites, the website .will be on different servers and the names will be registered under different people (2 partners in the business).
We will however be accessing webmaster tools from the same location.

Linkbait help please!
The problem we find as a small printing company (www.discountbannerprinting.co.uk) even though we are in a decent field for ideas (design, printing, business advertising) we are really struggling with types of resource / link bait content to create which is either not out there already or would create a decent buzz (ideas we have bounced around such as exhibition guides sound ok but they have been done to death such as independent sites).
Any help would be really appreciated.

Visited stats affecting rankings?
If visitor stats affect rankings should we be worried as we are making our website probably the most user friendly useful site in our field but this includes cutting down the time it takes for a user to order and our pages are also one page so all the information is there and easy to use the problem is this results in 1 page visits and probably one of the lowest visit times of our industry.
Say for example a user sees all of the information and and gets a quote another website has 5 pages the users spends more time and visits more pages to find how to order but they eventually leave after they have give up would this site win via Google user stats?

Links on Charity websites?
Do links on link pages or home pages work on unrelated sites, I know if a site is unrelated and the content is related it puts a similarity in the link to helps it's worth but with just a link on a links page (5-10 other links not a directory) does this pass any power or is it a bad idea.
-
RE: A few questions I need help with and would appreciate any help.
Sorry still a little confused,
So why do links need to be in relevant content if links from charity websites unrelated to the industry in no content pass value?
Yes I know I need to get rid of the bad links but how if I have contacted the site owners, we are not under any penalty that I can see other than the fact that the links maybe toxic and hurting our site a little U do worry if I use the Google tool we may be causing more trouble?

Do links Still count?
Does google still offer power from links even if the site is taken down such as a business blog closes ?

A few questions I need help with and would appreciate any help.
I am currently building links to our website via estalished blogs ect (2+ years old), As far as I understand even if they are unrelated to what we do (print) as long as the post is about print the link should offer some value is this correct?
Other questions I have which I would greatly appreciate advice in are as follows........
(1) Do charity websites or company websites with link pages ( about5-10 other links) or links / logo's on the front page offer value even on unrelated sites?
(2) What happens if 80% of the link building I am doing comes from blogs?
(3) If I have links that are clearly spam that have been built to our site can they be damaging our potential to rank and how can I remove them as I have tried to contact the relevant parties but fear pressing the button on the google tool may harm our site should I?
(4) If I have a page that genuinely has a lot of mentions of a keyword (not so much the money keyword but part such as wanting to rank for pool table but end up with the different versions of keywords having table mentioned 5 - 10% of the time).
Thank you for your time.
