Lead time on link benefit
Hi there. Usually as soon as link is indexed by a search engine, it has an effect on rankings. Don't confuse with appearance in GWT, since it takes longer and stays there longer than in reality. There are many-many examples of rankings go up dramatically after successful link building campaign (like skyscraping or something). Hope this helps.

Still not got any index update data.
Hi Trevor, Andrea from the Moz Help Team here Our Index rolled out yesterday and the blog post went live this morning, I'd recommend checking that out as well as the Q&A thread from Rand that it mentions which covers fluctuations (or non-fluctuations) with PA/DA scores. Hope that helps but we're available to assist if there are any other questions!

Does this lose link value?
Thanks for your responses. It would definitely be beneficial to users, so I may just get on and do it. It is a good quality link though, hence my consternation.

Linking out: Follow vs. Nofollow
You bring up a good point Nico. I've had bloggers/reviewers who have no followed link to my clients and it has been a little frustrating to know you did all this communication just to know they didn't give you an equity link. What your saying is true, if its relevant why would you nofollow it. What i think it might be is that when you link to a site, you are also linking to its domain. The domain may be fine, but in the future it might start engaging in black hat seo and other things that would be detrimental. It kind of sucks to say it, but I feel like its almost like you have to make a call on the site's integrity for the future. I'm sure there are other cases, but this is what came up to my mind first. Love to hear from other people.

Suggestion to Improve Moz's Link Data
Hi Trevor! As it turns out, we do have a cache on our index to help stop valid links from falling out of our view. However, we're not able to guarantee that all links we've previously indexed will be re-indexed within that cache period. So, it can certainly still happen that links will drop out of our index. In general, this helps to promote a stable index, while still preserving freshness and relevance of links that we report on. As far as metrics like DA and PA go, it's always important to remember that these are relative metrics, rather than absolute. While it always feels good to see them climb higher and higher, a consistent score or even a drop doesn't necessarily mean that there has been no improvement. I'd definitely recommend checking out this post by Rand on ways to consider these metrics: https://moz.com/community/q/da-pa-fluctuations-how-to-interpret-apply-understand-these-ml-based-scores

Index Update Release
Hi Trevor! As of right now, the next index is still scheduled for release on Friday. If a change to this date occurs, you will see it reflected on the Mozscape API Updates page. If something were to happen to push back this estimated date, we would announce it on that page as soon as the delay occurred. I hope that helps!

What affect do reviews have?
Thanks Ria and Patrick...thumbs up for you both. Definitely seems worth doing. Hadn't thought of it from a fresh content perspective. Totally relate to not buying a product without looking at reviews first, good ratings are very powerful.

Which is more valuable?
Hi Trevor, Math in linkbuilding is complicated. I believe that you should not get attached to any idea like: "Only high PA links" or "As many links as possible". It should be a mix of those ideas. The linkbuilding target should always be "diversificate", make it look natural. Although we know that linkbuilding isn´t always natural. I prefer getting some high authority links, some low athority links, some medium authority.. all those separated in time, some days/weeks in between. "make it look natural" Never forget to mix anchors, exact URL, dofollow, noFollow and irrational anchors (sourche, click here, more info) Hope this is useful for you bye
