Canonical for 80-90% duplicate content help
OK Seen Video thanks Wiqas, understand that Rel is a thorny thing. So I am not going to opt for that Brett thanks! Suggestion is to no index /no follow until it is made unique and concentrate on the most imortant pages first and then submit those bit by bit. Necessary ? Is it more beneficial to remove crap pages than to have them there even though they are indexed albeit at a low level.

Local seo yoast plug in
The plug-in is something I use on quite a few clients sites. I really like it because of its ease of use and the way it looks. However you can do the same thing with schema but for the money it is a great buy you can do everything that is needed to provide your business hours, address, phone number and it codes it perfectly allowing you to work on other things. I agree with Miriam, you must have a brick-and-mortar address and do face-to-face business in order to have a Google local listing. Nice work finding that information. In addition you may want to look at getlocal.org now owned by Moz has a lot of local knowledge. For citations check out Whitespark.ca you can get a discount from Moz.com/perks hope this helps, Thomas

Help with new site revamp SEO LOST!!!
Daniel, I've worked on a few site migrations, and it does take some time for rankings to pick back up. One recent one that I worked on took about 3-4 weeks to get relatively close to where rankings were pre-migration. As long as you're positive you used 301 [permanent] page to page redirects and not 302s, the rankings should eventually get back to where they were. If you tweaked any of the titles from what they were previously, that could also have something to do with it. I would also hold off on creating a lot of geographical and genre landing pages that weren't there previously. Let Google have some time to crawl the site as it is without needing to constantly index more content. In the meantime, it may be worth working on getting some fresh links to the new site while the redirects/rankings fully take. Give it some time. Good luck!

Rel=canonical SEO Ultimate plug in
Hi Daniel, I use SEO Ultimate and ticked all 4 boxes to canonicalise my categories, tags, post format archives and picture tags. The problem I have is that Moz picks new blog post tags as individual URLs and reports them as duplicate content - I am wondering if anyone in the Moz community understands why and what to do to correct this (might post a new question on the topic if no replies come in here)

Sales pages or one site?
If I am performing Geo based SEO as well as products, would this make sense to keep all on the same domain as separate sales pages? I am using wordpress so can easily create them to be unique copy url and alike so there wouldnt be any duplicate issues. Sound ok?
