I wrote a comment on another blog and now every single time that blog posts an article, it comes up as a nofollow backlink in OpenExplorer. It is really annoying to see when I check for new follow backlinks. I just wrote ONE comment on ONE blog post. How can I stop this? There are at least 10 showing up today! Thanks!

RE: Google dropped me like a hot potato - is my theory correct?!
Yes indeed! Queries and clicks have dropped. I was getting over 500 visitors a day and it dropped to barely 200.

RE: Google dropped me like a hot potato - is my theory correct?!
You looked at my site last week - I won't make you look again.
I think I just need to get over it and work hard at getting traffic from sources other than google. -
RE: Google dropped me like a hot potato - is my theory correct?!
They're in Open Site Explorer.
It just seemed so confirm my theory. I guess it's good if it is just a glitch but it's driving me crazy that my site took such a dive and I don't understand why!
5,500 impressions to 600.
And I have been getting more awesome backlinks but it keeps getting worse!

RE: Deindexing Archive Subpages?
My Moz crawl didn't show all this duplicate content so I am wondering if Google is just behind and hasn't seen the change yet? Unfortunately I don't know how to check the source of it's noindex. I am using Genesis and SEO Wordpress and supposedly they work really well together.

Deindexing Archive Subpages?
I am using Yoast Wordpress SEO and I have clicked on the option to deindex archive subpages. However, I have over 200 duplicate title tag errors in Google Webmasters and most are due to subpages. I am using the URL removal tool but I am going to create several pages every day which is just going to cause more duplicate title tag errors. I don't understand why the Wordpress SEO settings are not working. How can I get google to stop indexing archive subpages? My site tanked BIG TIME about a week ago. Every day it is worse. From 320 clicks a day to 30. Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Diagnose My Google Crash!
The graph is over a period of almost 3 months. May 1 until today. I can understand the honeymoon thing but crashing me overnight isn't very nice!

I know my DA is small. But it isn't really updated either - I have way more links than that. But I know I am new and time will help.
I think certain posts were ranking high because I was getting backlinks from sites with DA of 68-72. I just got 2 more this morning. It seems like Google decided to just disregard all of those backlinks. I am still on the first page for my main keyword so at least I have that.
Any links or suggestions for an online marketing campaign? I really appreciate your feedback.

RE: Diagnose My Google Crash!
Well I just saw this in WMT's today so no. That is going to take forever. Sorry I know that sounds whiny. But thanks for the reminder that I can do that.

RE: Duplicate Content - Category Pages 2+
I am using Yoast. I did the recommended settings. But Google seems to be ignoring the archive settings and indexing past page 1. Can I reboot Yoast or something to try and get it to "take"?
I don't use tags or author archives and those are noindexed.
My archives show the full article. I would like to do a preview but without a picture it is just way too boring. I should probably figure out how to show a picture preview. I am using Genesis.
Suggestions?

Diagnose My Google Crash!
On July 20, my site peaked in terms of google impressions. On July 21 it crashed and then got worse. Here is my chart from Google Webmasters.
I have been working really hard to get qualify backlinks from my niche (mom deals/coupons) and I know people like my site due to the growth in newsletter subscriptions etc. So what happened with Google? Is it Google Panda? Nothing on my site changed except maybe I had been getting less backlinks for a few days.
I am having duplicate content issues which I posted about in another question. For some reason Google is indexing past page 1 of my category pages even though Yoast Wordpress SEO is set NOT to. So I am getting duplicate title tag errors from the subpages. I also have some crawl errors/404s due to deleting and renaming categories to improve my site. Any SEO issues my site might have (shorter posts than 300 words, affiliate links etc) are the same issues my competitor's have who are on page 1 of Google.
Any input would be appreciated.

Duplicate Content - Category Pages 2+
I have my Wordpress SEO settings to deindex past page 1 of each category. However, Google Webmasters is selling me I have 210 pages with duplicate title tags.
My site tanked last weekend and I don't know if it was Google Panda or what. I have been getting some fantastic backlinks and it seems like they just decided to disregard all of them as I am completely off the SERPs.
Is this duplicate content a contributing factor? How can I get google to deindex my category pages past page 1? (I do need the first page to index as that does bring me organic traffic)
Thanks.

RE: Best way to delete category pages?
Thanks for the prompt reply. So the category pages I will delete will not hurt my SEO or rankings?
