Your thoughts on buying backlinks?
-
NO
-
I thought so.
-
That is the shortest answer i have ever seen Ryan give.
I can agree on all of it
-
Lol, can't argue with that answer, No says all that needs to be said

As far as SEO goes, buying backlinks is just a No-No, getting 500 high PR links in 7-14 days... when you previously didnt have even half that, Google aren't that stupid, at the end of the day, buying back links can potentially do a lot more harm than good

You might check out the backlinks to their own site in Open Site Explorer at http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?page=1&site=simplybacklinks.com%2F&sort=page_authority&filter=&source=external&target=domain&group=0
Here are two examples from the first few on the list:

Take the time spent on thinking and researching purchased links and spend it on developing great content and building solid relationships.

I ditto the no. If its too good to be true..............

Everybody always says no, no, no to this question and to be honest, it makes me feel like my head's going to explode. Show me a very competitive ecommerce category where the top of the SERPs aren't dominated by organizations buying links. I can't find one.
Or to put it differently, to those who say no, show us a competitive keyword where you've been able to outrank large organizations buying links.

I think "no" is just popular answer. You should buy links if you need it, but in big business thinking about content is more important.
