Link building plan

I would rethink the plan if it were me. I think what you have accurately described is how to get a penalty.

If the site is the one in your profile, I'd also look at your content. The couple of items I looked at had stock descriptions from the manufacturer, and you'll be competing against the manufacturer and everyone else out there selling the identical item.
Before you start promoting the site, you'll want to be clear in your mind and on the site what your point of difference is. What does your site have to offer that other, more established sites, are lacking? Why is it a good candidate for someone to link to or write about? Why should a user buy from your store and not another?

Totally did not look at the profile and see it was an ecommerce site. Sorry for the shameless plug, but I did an interview with Rand a couple of months ago about starting SEO for ecommerce sites and he talked briefly about using feed descriptions, you might check it out, it has some good tips. http://www.prestashop.com/blog/en/seo-expert-series-rand-fishkin-of-moz/

Had a bit of the same feeling when I read it from top > bottom. But if you read it the other way around it sounds way better in my opinion as you start with the better quality links instead of the weaker links (directories, web 2.0 profiles).
