• How do you know those links are spam?
• How do you know your competitors are buying spam links? Is it possible that some of these links are natural?
• How do you know they filed spam reports? Did you get a manual action (as in Webmaster Tools notice)?
• If you didn't get a manual notice, how do you know those links that are questionable are the reason for your ranking drop?
