Creative link building ideas for law sites

I have a client who does not actively participate in the content writing or resource providing part of optimization or link building.

I want to build some more links to the site outside of content spreading and guest blogging.

I have read a lot of the recent articles on creative ways to build links but feel that most would not apply to this kind of site.

Any ideas on creative link building methods for a law services info site?

Have you considered trying to come up with some sort of infographic in relation to the services and then pushing this? You could also considered options such as creating a video campaign that will grab peoples attention about what you do. The potential for such things to go viral in a social media driven world is high if you can come up with a decent piece, but you need to think outside the box. You also need to build up our relationships on social media channels, especially with authority figures/influencers. This will make it easier to gain attention and recognition for such pieces as I have suggested.

You should also look into getting listed in niche lawyer sites, does not matter if they are follow or nofollow links. Look for links, citations of URL, phone number and so on.
