Duplicate Content from SEOMOZ report?

This post is deleted! -
Just looked at your duplicate content example using copyscape (plagirism tool) and it is evident that you have copied your product description copy across a number of sites. Even though it is common for retailers to copy product descriptions from one another, making that slight tweak will be beneficial to how your page ranks.
In regards to the 4xx page can you please provide another example? My guess for the 4xx error pages would be is that you delete the old product pages without 301 redirecting them to the appropriate category page. Am I right in assuming this?
Thanks,
Vahe

Thanks Vahe
I think the 404 errors are being generated from the links to the retailers sites from product details pages such as
http://www.cheapfindergames.com/games-soul-calibur-v-xbox-360/B005IWC4M2
Then when you click on the 'go to shop' button it takes you to the retailers page via the a retailers.php page - Perhaps if I put a noindex and nofollow on the retailers.php page it will stop the 404's?

There are several broken links to the retailer sites which you are correct. So in this instance simply fix these URLs to the appropriate ones.
However check the following two broken links below.
http://www.cheapfindergames.com/games-soul-calibur-v-xbox-360/index.php
http://www.cheapfindergames.com/games-soul-calibur-v-xbox-360/searchresults.php?platform=xbox360It seems you are linking to multiple versions of the same soul calibur page, hence why the pages are appearing as a 404. These pages don't exist.
Ian just make sure that all internal links on your site have the same (consistant) url structure implemented.
This should reduce the number of 404 pages apparent.
Hope this helps,
Vahe

In my robots.txt file I already had the entry below
User-agent: *
Disallow: /retailer.phpso I am unsure why its complaining about URLs like
http://www.cheapfindergames.com/games-250gb-console/http%3A%2F%2Fwww.awin1.com%2Fcread.php%3Fs%3D278646%26v%3D1202%26q%3D132235%26r%3D132598%26clickref%3Dgames%26p%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.iwantoneofthose.com%2Fiwantoneofthose%2F10208131.product

Where did you find the links to the 2 pages you mentioned?

Sorry can't see this URL

Hi Ian,
Sorry tried an online tool, however it is not valid.
Best practice method of checking 404 errors is through Google Webmaster Tools or scanning your site through Xenu (but it might take a while).
There might be several reasons why those pages are appearing as 404's
- Has there been dropouts on your sites server lately? It might then be an accessibility issue.
- There might be broken links (as we've discussed) that is causing these 404 errors.
- People entering in weird search queries and the fact that the URL is dynamic is indexing them in search results.
Have a look, if you have further issues dont hesitate to contact me directly.
Thanks,
Vahe
