Book suggestions for customer research?

I'm searching for in-depth texts on gathering, organizing and analyzing customer and non-customer feedback on demographics, technology habits, shopping methods, value perceptions, attitudes / interests, how to reach them and the like.

We currently carry out email surveys, site surveys and some phone surveying, but honestly the organization could be a ton better.

Do you have any in-depth texts on the subject you really like?

You will have to find a few resources to gather the information you are looking for. Check out some of the MozCON 2011 Bundle and Pro Webinars. In Pro Webinars Mike King just had a nice presentation about different tools he uses to get  understand the personas and their purchasing habit. In the various other videos the experts talk about different resources they use... just look around great stuff.
