Suggestion to Improve Moz's Link Data
Hi Trevor! As it turns out, we do have a cache on our index to help stop valid links from falling out of our view. However, we're not able to guarantee that all links we've previously indexed will be re-indexed within that cache period. So, it can certainly still happen that links will drop out of our index. In general, this helps to promote a stable index, while still preserving freshness and relevance of links that we report on. As far as metrics like DA and PA go, it's always important to remember that these are relative metrics, rather than absolute. While it always feels good to see them climb higher and higher, a consistent score or even a drop doesn't necessarily mean that there has been no improvement. I'd definitely recommend checking out this post by Rand on ways to consider these metrics: https://moz.com/community/q/da-pa-fluctuations-how-to-interpret-apply-understand-these-ml-based-scores

Best SEO url woocommerce, what to do?
Thanks for the great responses! Ive read the info that Gaston posted and some more.. Ive decided to go for the change and strip out the /product-category/ to leave space for the keyword that we are ranking for.. Ive added support in our design for textbased category description and that should work i guess. As long as i do a 301 redirect from the old http://domain/product-category/Key1 to http://domain/key1 it will be fine right? Thanks! / Jonas

What is the best way to leverage Fiverr for content marketing?
I would turn and run if someone offered to build backlinks for $5. I would recommend trying to leverage the Fiverr community to illustrate some graphics for your content piece depending on what you are writing about. Also, take a look at Thumbtack and Upwork you can hire some higher quality free lancers on those platforms to help create some high-quality content. I would invest a lot in creating quality content while looking for ways to leverage and amplify it to build backlinks rather than paying someone from Fiverr to do it. Think about doing some research on influencers within your target market to amplify your content and build backlinks. Hope this helps you out some. thumbtack

Startpage and shop page shows the same thing, shall i set canonical url?
Well - this is easy win. But you need to ask yourself - should you put products in homepage? In Woo you can easy duplicate /shop page with / (homepage). And when i go in some site i want to know about their company, best (best-of-best) products, etc. This is huge niche for A/B tests. For example - you can put some promo on some products and drive traffic to them. Or company innovation, or company news, etc. Imagine Amazon (just example) if you visit them did you get ALL of their billion products on their homepage? Or if you visit newspaper did you get ALL their news on their homepage? Only change between /shop and / is one image in homepage in ATF. So - yes, you can canonical them, but then you will miss much better opportunity in CTR or CRO.

Exclude price in rich snippet markup
That lead me to the right direction! Got it all working with price excluded in the rich snippet, still validating as a product with reviews, sku and description. My solution.. Create following directories: wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/woocommerce wp-content/themes/[your_theme]/woocommerce/single-product Create price.php and ad it to /single-product Ad this code to the custom price.php if ( ! defined( 'ABSPATH' ) ) { exit; // Exit if accessed directly } global $product; ?> get_price_html(); ?> // Jonas

Ranking and Indexing Issue
Hi Mike, I would suggest you add both versions of your website to the search console (i.e. www and non-www) and then set your preference to whichever you like, so that Google knows which one your prefer to be the main domain. I would also suggest shortening the URL, because it does look too long. Maybe you'd want to put the author of the quote instead of the actual quote or shorten the quote somehow. I'm pretty sure that you guys may publish some quotes with even more characters in the future which is going to be even longer than the existing one. Hence, I would rethink the URL structure. In regards to the rankings, don't worry just now as it really takes several weeks to get updated. Many Thanks, Dima

First Mozscape index of the year is live
Real case... almost 10 years ago SEO manager in some company was flying to their HQ just to explain why their PR was dropped from 6 to 5. C-level execs wasn't happy about that. Now fun part - impressions, CTR and visits was increased during that update.

Migrating to WooCommerce, similar product descriptions but with different urls, cant use variations.
Hi again Dirk, One last question. What if we got the variations to work with our shipping demands.. Would the absolute best solution to have a single product page, with variations.. And the canonical urls for the variations that woocommerce creates set to the main product page? In that case i would be able to get better content for the main product page and hopefully it will rank higher and stand stronger against competitors. Also it would limit the duplicate content that we have today? If i follow this solutions i would need to set up 301 redirects for the old product pages right? Thanks! / Jonas

Community Discussion - Are annotations an overlooked avenue for driving traffic from YouTube?
Yes! I have tested them in this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ip03xNfpwg CTR was 6.36% and closes are 9.09%. I know that they're not "best-of-best" annotations, but definitely helps. But video is strange because have long intro and one of note is for jump inside of video where action begins. I'm trying to implement also "cards" in YouTube videos to see their performance too.

January 2016: Massive Rankings Fluctuations
I'd take a look at your content. Identify your most popular landing pages and look at the their bounce rates and time on page. Is the content delivering as promised? Has it earned any links? If not, consider deleting, retiring or updating the content with the goal of improving its engagement metrics. I've experimented with this a bit and noticed improvement. Nothing scientific, but it's worth a try. Pick a couple to start and see what happens.

Website Not Ranking Organically - Not Links, Not Domain Authority...
For anyone stumbling across this we were able to identify the issue. We had a WordPress installation that had a hidden database full of SPAM and bad links/images etc. The Database could not be located in MySQL which was interesting, so we had the client agree to allow us to delete ALL content and start from scratch. (They had previously been hacked with another vendor but owned their WordPress website). We were migrating the database because they had hundreds of blog posts. We all agreed since they weren't doing any good we would start from scratch. Deleted entire website off of server, reinstalled WordPress and we've seen a 745% improvement in keyword rankings. We have over 20 keywords now ranking on page 1. Woot!

Search engine submission - Urgent
I would agree with Dirk. There is not much to rank for on your website, all of your content comes from amazon. Still, another questions is why is it not indexed yet. The website is built on Wordpress and if you haven't touched your robots.txt then it should not block crawlers. As I can see you are not ranking for your exact match domain name (i.e. site: yourdomain.com) which can be sign of a manual penalty. What I would suggest is to add some content, do some internal optimisation (download seo Yoast plugin), add Titles, H1, optimise images and so forth. Then, create a separate search console account and submit your sitemap and see if it works.
