When trying to decide what is low quality content, page views & bounce rate are the main indicators I use for pages already on site.

But, how do you measure the quality of content that you are trying to produce? Is it entirely subjective?

Usually the way I go about this is checking to see if the content is duplicate or not.  And then check to see if the content is long enough.

Pages with low content and duplicate content are starting to get dinged pretty hard by the new Panda update.  So I would check out the length of the content and whether its duplicate or not.

          High quality content....

          • is on a subject matter that attracts clicks.

          • holds visitors for the reading time of the article.

          • looks great, it has exciting graphics and is well formatted.

          • is rich - it is supported by video, numerous large images, data, references, links to related content or other unique resources beyond text.

          • has perfect grammar, spelling, capitalization.

          • is one of the best - if not the best - presentations on the web for its topic.
