I'm redesigning a client's site, breaking up content into separate pages and moving the site to a managed server keeping the same domain name.  Will I lose any link juice or keyword ranking for site even if I 301 redirect the old pages to the new titled pages?

Yes, when you change URLs  the word is that some but not all of the link juice passes.  But it's not too bad assuming the redesign corrects mistakes, makes the site easier to navigate and crawl. You'll get the link power back soon enough.

It all depends how intelligently you break up those pages and SEO the pieces.  I am not going to tell you "yes" or "no" as an answer to your question.   How smart is your SEO?

Just sayin' here..... maybe you should ask an SEO with experience on this type of project  if you are doing this on a client site.  Would probably be a good insurance policy.

Thanks Joe. The redesign is very well thought out and the long pages of content desperately needed to be broken up and siloed. What we lose in the short term will be made up in the long. I just wasn't sure how much link juice passes with 301 redirects. Thanks again

As for a small loss of link juice, Joe's response is one I would agree with. But in terms of keyword ranking, EGOL is spot on. There are many right and wrong things that could affect ranking in either direction. The sort of breakdown you're talking about deserves an experienced hand to get it right.
