Why aren't DMOZ links showing up in Open Site Explorer?

I have a page that is listed in DMOZ.org, but when I run an OSE Link Analysis, that link doesn't show up. I'm currently doing the free trial for SEOMoz Pro and I'm concerned that other links might not be showing up as well. Has anyone had any similar experiences and/or do you know why DMOZ links specifically might not appear in the results?

First you should copy and paste the category dmoz link were your link is displayed into the google search file to see if it's indexed. Some new dmoz categories are not .. wierd for such a domain but true. We had a similar issue were the dmoz category  was not indexed  -  we didn't run OSE but it can rule one out.

All dmoz links for our projects are displayed in OSE.

Chances are the DMOZ link hasn't been indexed. Also, OSE updates every month or so, so if it's a recent addition to DMOZ, it's possible that even if it wasn't in the last update of OSE, it will be in the next one.

Several reasons on this one.

#1 - DMOZ is big, and while we crawl a lot of it, we don't crawl the whole thing, so some deep categories may be excluded.

#2 - We update once per month, so if it's a new addition, it may take some time

#3 - If DMOZ blocks bots or restricts the crawl (or some dup content or other issue), that could cause problems, too.

We have a larger index launching in July and hopefully will be going much deeper on sites like this, too.
