Hey

It all depends on the quality of the work. If the articles are great, then you could move them to your site and make sure that both the directory and the main site contain a canonical URL indicating the correct source of the content.

That said, if they are indexed elsewhere, and you are looking for a quick fix, would you not be able to link to the main site from these already indexed articles. It's not going to set the world on fire but... it sounds like the simplest answer to what you are trying to do without the possible problems involved in moving them.

If the articles are in your own directory then I'd edit them and add a link to your homepage and a few other pages too. Then, take your easy solution and write new ones for your website.
