Trying to get links to a pdp of an ecommerce site

hi all i am working for  a ecommerce site doing seo and i am thinking of starting a blog for one of the brands im trying to rank for on the site and then have some links from the brandreview.co.uk/blog to the pdp page of the ecommerse site that im working for, is this a good way to go about things

I personally believe that it takes a lot of work to keep up with regular blog posts. Especially if you have a lot of product pages you want to build links too. In addition, you will need to build links to your blog, in order for the links from your blog to be worth while.

I still believe having a blog for your website is a good idea. I would follow the advice of EGOL posted here: http://www.seomoz.org/q/blog-content-practices-for-e-commerce-sites
